we watched the DVD Rendition. Don't know if anyone else has seen it but there are long conversations in Arabic that aren't subtitled so it was sometimes difficult to follow the plot. Saying that, by the end it was all explained but it would have been nice to have understood what they were saying.

    :D

We have that DVD, bought it from Blockbusters ex-rental. Ours has subtitles and it was still difficult to follow the plot :D

    Morning all

School hols at last!!! Although my 2 are off to stay with my parents for a couple of nights from this afternoon, whilst DH and I got to Leeds (he's working - I'll be taking advantage of the hotel pool ;) )

Still got quite a bit of snow here this morning, had a huge snowball fight with DD's who ended up bouncing on the snow covered trampoline - was great fun - built a mini snowman and then all came indoors for tea and toast infront of the fire. We've had more snow overnight as the trampoline is now about 2 inches thick again :j

OS wise - Chilli from the freezer for DH and I tonight, need to swish and swipe the bathroom and run the hoover round and I've got one of those ikea blue bags full of ironing to do (in a fit of madness last week, I washed all the summer clothes whilst the sun was out and I could get them dried).

DH talked his parents into getting sky installed, he did the "recommend a friend" deal so we both get £50 worth of m&s vouchers.....they said they won't use them so will give theirs to us too........I shall save them for Xmas :T

Hope you all have a fab day - will catch up with you all when I'm back on Thursday.

Donny-gal - lunchtime would be about the best time to go over the Dartford Bridge but it can jam up at anytime. I would suggest keeping the radio on for the travel reports.

Our clients are all just over the other side of the water and we spend a lot of time on the bridge or in tunnels!

I am funny about swearing only a couple of words upset me now - mainly the c word which absolutely disgusts me. I can remember the days when my grandad would go mad if anyone said carp - times certainly change.

    Morning All

Nothing much to report Im afraid, I just wanted to pop in and say Hi!

Had a terrible night sleep due to tummy pains. Paid quite a few visits to the loo until around 3am.

Both kids are dressed and ready to go to Schools out at the local leisure centre. This is where they will spend the next the 2 weeks of half term. It works out slightly cheaper than to pay the sitter! Plus they will do a variety of activities!

Hopefully BT Vision engineer will be here later today to install the set box!

    Hope everyone is well.
    Take care

    Good morning all :hello:

Well, DH and I had a hectic weekend in sunny London. We stayed with some friends and treated them to a takeaway meal using Tesco Clubcard deals vouchers. :D Yesterday, we went to a New Zealand expo about jobs and life over there. Pretty good, but I think it will all be more relevant once we've been over there for our holiday and decided whether it IS for us.

DH had a rubbish night of sleep last night as he realised that he'd made a major mistake at work, so he spent the whole of last night mulling it over and trying to work out how to best resolve it. He's fully expecting a disciplinary for it, but he's so upset with himself I think that is discipline enough (think of grown man crying :().

I'm meeting up with a friend and her two very young children in Cambridge today. I said that I'd meet her at 11 and really I should be up and about, especially as I have another Amazon book to post. :j :j

Supper tonight will be Tuscan Bean Soup - that recipe from a Tesco magazine from what must be over a year ago now! DH has promised that he will need wine tonight and he'll probably be asleep early on, especially with the lack of sleep from last night.

    Have a good day all.

Morning all. The sun is shining here today. Fortunate really as the boiler packed up last night and we are relying on 2 heaters until we can get an engineer out!!! Girlies start back at school today and I must go switch heaters off and get myself into w*rk

Right I'd better get a wriggle on. Not looking forward to the drive-roads are much quieter when the kids are off school.

    Good morning everyone!
First proper day of the school hols and I was up at 6:30am! Yes, my body is too conditioned! Even worse when i have to write a long list of things to do like a timetable... I guess it helps my chronic fatigue though.
Went out for a pub lunch yesterday-we didn't pay which makes it all so much better!
Am debating a walk into town today, but think I have other things to do first. Cleaning the kitchen and baking, more work on the spare room and giving this place a once over with the hoover. Then I will be putting some stuff on Ebay, calling up my phone provider for an upgrade and sorting out a Drs appointment.... so maybe not a walk into town today! Tomorrow I'll be doing it though as I'm getting my hair cut and t-bar done :) I love getting my hair done.
Need to order a couple of books on Amazon too... what a long list! I'll get there, honest!
    Hugs to those who need/want
    Have a good day :)
