I've had quick a nice chunk of JL vouchers lying around for over three months now, an unexpected pleasure re a work award

At first I knew exactly what I wanted to treat myself too but then when I double checked it wasn't as nice as I thought so keep pouring over the JL website for new stock and so far nothing really apart from one of the items that is grabbing me

Grr! So annoying to have these vouchers burning a hole in my pocket :o

Right, must stop prevaricating on here and get on with three money tasks for family member. Should take me an hour or so and I know they are going to be a bit messy hence me putting them off!

I've now closed three inactive N@tionwide accounts and transferred back the £2500 from the 4th account now that the 5% rate has expired. At the moment i'm planning to put that in a new T$B Plus account which I think launches this week

I've also made another March OP of £625 which puts me back on track - and slightly ahead - of where my Op's should be. This along with the normal monthly payments means a capital reduction this month of £1581 which i'm pleased about

Been under the weather for a couple of days but feeling better now so managed to get plenty of freezer cooking done and they're all in the drawers freezing nicely :D

Got the T$B Plus account all set up with the full £2k deposited from the N@tionwide balance I brought out this week. All seemed painless and the required £500 pm s/o all set up to bounce in and out

Also cancelled the £1000 s/o I had set up from the N@tionwide as forgot to do that last week, that would have been good if i'd incurred some kind of bounced payment fee :o

Will also set up a T$B Plus account for family member this week too and also researching the new Ll0yds Club account which looks interesting both from an interest and benefits point of view and they seem to be going to link it to Club account savings and saw a rate of 4% mentioned!

Got my annual Br G@s boiler check today and I know there is a small problem so will be good to get that sorted. I'm sure the problem is covered under the plan I have so fingers crossed!

Gah, decisions decisions! Just remembered you can have more than one Plus accounts, not sure what to do now but veering towards opening a second and opening an ISA is getting less and less likely!

Ok, decision made, second T$B Plus account now opened and both fully funded with £2k each at 5%

Not sure whether to open an ISA and fund monthly now that I haven't got the full years amount to put in straight away, or look further at Ll0yds Club account and the attached 4% savings and then when that is full do ISA

Sigh, this money lark is a full time job and I've already got one of those but the hours I do make it feel like two full times jobs :o

    Morning all

Just checked and the 12/13 ISA interest has been paid so that was £138.37

Did all the money shuffles on the 2nd and even got 44p interest on each of my new T$B plus accounts, soon clear the mortgage at this rate :rotfl:Besides that though there was the usual H@lifax Rewards fiver and a couple of other bits and bobs. I'm having a very tight month though so I've not yet OP'd those small amounts

I've also had an account opening frenzy for a family member so S@ntander 123, 2 T$B Plus accounts and one Ll0dys Club account also opened, all to get the maximum rates of interest. Luckily I get to do all their monthly money shuffles too so get extra fixes from that :D

I've had a nice no spend week and all food out of cupboards, freezer etc. I'm expecting to spend a 'bit' this weekend as family visiting but it shouldn't be too much

It looks like the smog has eventually lifted but it would also be wrong to say it's a nice day, I think the best that can be said for it is that it is dry out :o

Wishing you all a good weekend
