ATT, so very sorry to hear about your tax woes. Is it not possible for you to do a tax calculation based on your payslips and other info and then contact them over phone to set it right? The snail-mail method takes too much time! I should do that pronto. I have lost count of the half-empty/half-full containers and jars of potions and creams. Do they have an expiry date?Mortgage: @ Feb. 2007: £133,200; Apr. 2011: £24,373; May 2011: £175,999; Jun 2013: ~£97K; Mar. 2014 £392,212.73; Dec. 2015: £327,051.77; Mar. 2016: ~£480K; Mar. 2017 £444,445.74

Hi US, thanks,
Yes, I'm going to give them a call again this week. I normally like the comfort and clarity of letters, but HMRC in my experience don't even properly action them... During my last 12 month saga with them I lost track of all the lengthy calls I made but there were certainly occassions when I wished they were writing to me too as some of the verbal info they provided was just downright incorrect and of course you then have no evidenceMFW Start Date 1.4.08. Hi MCI, Tilly and Lullabelle, no, not kicked a$$ yet:D For a couple of reasons I've not been able to do it the last two nights but all things being equal I hope to be able to get this one knocked off by the end of the week
You often see in the papers that they have worked out how many productive hours are lost by people being sick etc, wished someone would calculate loss of productive and personal time due to HMRC not knowing what right first time means
Regards

Jeez Tilly, I know what I'd like a Master Black Belt to do to HMRC right now and I can tell you it's got far more to do with karate chops than first pass yields
Anyway, surely Six Sig is for wimps, who wants to only be right 999, 996.51 times out of a million, surely 7 sig is the way to go and to h$ll with the costs :rotfl:
