    Hi Tilly

I think the last 6 weeks or so has just dissapeared into a black hole :o I've never neglected my thread for so long but what with being sick, being on holiday and getting a new job the time has just whizzed by.

My new job is still with the same company and I won't be starting for a little while yet but I'm really looking forward to it and I think is just the change I've been looking for for a while!

It feels like a lot has happened money wise over the last couple of month but I certainly can't remember it all so will have to just mention the few things I can in a post in a mo

The other thing I'm annoyed with myself about is that I'm part of the MFi3 T2 that FB runs and it finishes December this year, I've never once missed or been late for our updates and I missed this months (it's done quaterly) that was due 12th June. I've sent my figures to FB today along with an apology but I might be too late to be added as I he's already published our chart :o

    Regards

So, on to money things, it's been a funny mon th or two as I've spent less than expected on some things but also more on others and a small *ahem* maybe medium spontaneous on-line shopping spree....

So, clothes shopping came in at £200 but in my defence I got nearly all of it with a hefty discount and also cashback as ordered via TCB. It could have been worse as the original order was over £500 where I'd ordered double sizes on a couple of things as well as things that just caught my eye but thankfully for my bank balance I didn't really like. I also got three things for work too. I don't often shop for clothes but when I do it usually ends up like this :o Gally, if you are looking in it's not like I accidentally bought a new house :rotfl::rotfl:

I don't do much driving anyway but I've excelled myself in the last month as spent the grand total of £20 on petrol for a full month

Not much on food as I've either been sick or away with work so I've had lots of NSD's

Had a few days away and didn't spend very much at all

I get paid this week so I've already sent an OP of the standard £500 and I'll see what else can be done but i'm not going to push myself as oops, forgot to mention booked another european city break for next month and I've already paid for it :D

I'm also owed £100 from a family member and it's been nearly four months now. I'm not in a hurry for the money and it's really not a problem and I did tell them to take their time but... it is taking a bit longer than expected, that said, despite me having a small whinge on here about it i am happy to be in the position to help them

The bonus I mentioned earlier has materialised though my figures were out. I think I said I was expecting c.£2.5k but in the end it was £1.5k but still lovely none the less. What it does mean is that I will slightly delay my decorating plans

Well I think that's quite a long enough post for now ;)

    Regards

    Hi there Tilly

Yes, the new job has been taking all my time and then some :eek:What I would say though is that I'm really enjoying it, it's just the usual early days of getting to grips with things and the to list just gets bigger and bigger with no real time to step back and progress. However, (and I don't want to speak too soon!) I feel like today has been much more pro-active than reactive so hopefully the tide is turning :D

Well I think that's the first time I've missed a month updating my signature! The only good thing was that it meant a bigger drop than normal in my signature, nice :D

    Quick updates are
    • OP of £575.29 made in July
    • £500 OP so far in August
    • Petrol, May was £20, June £20, July £30 and the car says I've still got 130 miles left of that £30!
    • Lots of NSD's
    • Now repaid £4548 out of the £4958 owed to lovely parents so only £400 outstanding :T
Will add some more when I remember them!

  • Hi all, hope you are all fine and dandy?

Well, the watch words for me for some weeks now have been 'home and work'!

On the home front I've been going great guns, I think of myself as naturally pretty tidy at home, not a hoarder and organised but those pesky cupboards and drawers seem to be waging a secret war to build up their contents.

So... my motto for a while now is to leave the house better (even if in some small way) than it was the day before

I've had a fine old time pulling cupboards out, throwing things away, sorting items for charity etc and doing lots of shredding! Not to mention sorting out (aka throwing out ;)) lots of work stuff that seems to have been building up for a long time 'just in case I need it', yeah, where have you heard that before

I've also thrown out lots of old cosmetics and samples but also sorted a goodly amount out that I'm working my way through

I still feel like there is lots to do and then I want a real scrub of full place and then, and only then will I order the decorating to be done that I've been promising myself for almost a year.

If truth be told the decorating still looks pretty good and fresh but it's a long time since it's been done and I know will look great when it's done

    Regards
