Just a further update on the various cashback & points I have lying around
    1. Amex - £34.11 cashback
    2. Topcashback - £36.35 ready for payout & £40 pending
    3. Boots - £11.98
    4. Sainsbury's - £26.48
I only got the Sainsburys card last year as I never thought I went there enough for it to be worth getting a card but I've been pretty suprised at how quickly they have built up; and to think I used to give all my receipts to my mother to add the points to her card :o

I'm still waiting for Topcashback to show how much I'll get for renewing my Green Flag policy. I did it in December and it's one of those that doesn't show until you've held the policy for X months. So, whatever that payout is is to be added to the £40 pending.

    Not bad ay :D

Hi there Rainbowcattail (good name BTW) thanks for stopping by and your kind words; also, and apologies for the delay in replying, I've not been around for a few weeks thanks to an incredibly busy time at work :o

Hope your own plans are going well

Hi Tilly, apologies for the delayed reply, I've not been on here properly for what feels like ages and didn't even know I had posts from you and Rainbowcattail until I've just got to my own post now :o

Big :rotfl::rotfl:to your US email, it's hard to believe we are all supposed to be speaking english at times isn't it :D Did you manage to decipher it in the end?

I'm 'ok', just got a horrendous month out of the way and have been enjoying a few days off this week. I've had a lovely day, a big lie-in, some housework done, some other little jobs ticked off and a sit in my mothers beautiful garden in the sun. I've also had a nice couple of hours on here catching up and I'm planning an early night, all in all, a perfect day :D

I had intended doing a proper update on here today but somehow now don't feel like i have much brain power so I think I'll have to settle for just the things I can remember :o

So....I've paid the balance for my Paris trip today so that was £386. I've also tried to arrange my annual boiler service today, if you do it on-line you get 200 nectar points but the system said there was nothing available to and to ring BG. When I rang them they said they had temporarily taken down the system due to the bad weather parts of the country are experiencing and needing call outs. They've suggested I look again next week after Tuesday, they could arrange on the phone for my but then I wouldn't get the 200 points which is a bit annoying as it's not my fault they have taken the on-line booking system down.

I've made an extra £92 OP today and will hopefully be able to squeeze a bit more out this month but won't be too concerned if that doesn't happen due to paying holiday balance.

I've had a few more minor problems with the car and have decided it's time to change it, I know my mechanic really well and he has also said this is the best thing to do so I need to start looking around for a new car :o

My washing machine is also playing up on occassion, it seems to be sticking on certain programmes (but not all the time) and sounds like it is going to explode and starts shaking so violently that it is moving quite quickly across the utility floor  So... it looks like a new machine is probably on the horizon. I only have it on if i am in the house, years ago I used to put it on as I went out to work but one of my old neighbours was a loss adjustor and she scared me silly about the number of jobs she had been called out to where the problem had arisen because of an unsupervised washing machine being on

I'm sure I've lots more to update on but at the minute just can't think of it :o

    Hope you are all well

Oops, I forgot to say that todays OP of £92 took my IO part down below the £70k mark so the balance now starts with '69' :j

Yay, really pleased with that and as ever I've just enjoyed updating my signature

Well I've just spent over 4 hours on here catching up with loads of lovely diaries. What a treat this afternoon has been as I rarely have that much time to myself to just do either nothing or whatever I want.

I've had a good couple of days with a few jobs ticked off but most importantly I finally got my passport renewal application done and I've been talking about it for ages! Suddenly I only had 6 weeks left on it and I need it in June! I did the application on line and then they send it to you in the post to sign and add photos etc. I did laugh as the site says that doing it on-line is far easier than filling the paper application in, it makes you wonder why they can't improve the paper one?

I've got lots done in the house too which I always enjoy but there is still a lot to do. The filing pile is going down well though, the bathrooms are sparkling, as is the kitchen. I've also started to sort out various charity bit for a stall I'm helping to run in a few months time.

The big plus for me is that I haven't done any work while I've been on holiday which unfortunately is quite a rarity.

I must start and look at currency rates for my trip in June as I think the stash I've had at home and have been using for ages is now down to the last 50 euros so time to get some more, I think the euro rate is picking up a bit too?

My BTL rent came in a couple of days ago and after many postponements I think that this will either be the very last one for this tenant with a slim chance of one more to come but I'll know more in a couple of weeks time

Did quite a big shop (for me) yesterday so £37 in the supermarket.

Right, now off to meet my mother for a nice afternoon coffee out. Must get wrapped up, it's freezing outside again

    Regards

  • Hi ATT, getting sub £70k on the IO bit is great news, it's these milestones which I love. Anything to get us to the next level.

Sounds like you have had a good few days and I feel quite envious of your sparkly bathrooms and kitchen. Mine will have to wait for the new cleaner as I have no energy left now. However, whilst you have cleaner bathrooms than I do, I now have zero filing pile :). DH has a pile of bits to burn and then it's all gone.

Hope you wrapped up to meet your mother - it is bitterly cold here.

    Best wishes Tilly x
