So the lowest number is first and the highest number last.. but the higher the number with the minus sign the lower the number is because it is further from the 0..

We even used the example.. 0 is our house and the number is how many steps.. nope.. it isn't going in.. 8 steps in that direction is further from our house than 2 steps..

This is the child they said isn't dyslexic.. but he does have Aspergers.. and he don't get it!

And.. DD2 has just lost her third tooth in 3 days!!!!!!!!!! I think she has scurvy!!

Evening ladies.

DS1 back, tired, hungry and thus grumpy but trip seems to have gone well and he won the award for best experiment.

Pigpen can you show him it on a themometer?

Off to a football meeting now, hope not to stay long as kids and I are all shattered. I want to be home for Gardeners world!

Evening all,

I am still here just not been very well. I had a chest/throat infection about 5/6 weeks ago and battled through it, anyway it came back with avengence and floored me last week - no energy, no voice and falling asleep everytime I sat down. After 10 days of antibiotics I am starting to feel better but still have very little energy. We did manage some time away during the holidays - my aunt took pity when she ehard I was ill and invited us all up to stay with them on the farm - they are about 10 miles from john o'Groats, and it was fab the girls were entertained by my aunt and uncle they have seen new born calves and lambs driven tractors and generally enjoyed having no neighours and being able to make as much noise as possible. I have been looked after, sat infront of coal fires and read 4 books and caught up with a lot of sleep.

Hope everyone here is all okay, I will be joining in again next week but going to enjoy the weekend of doing very little first.

Dusty.. thanks.. He doesn't understand thermometers either.. or money.. or time.. that is why we tried the 'steps'.. and sweets on a plate.. the plate was 0 and I was 'minus' and he was 'plus' He isn't going to get this.. I'll have my dyslexic sister explain it..

jjef .. you lucky thing.. can I be adopted??? my children would love that!! My youngest 2 have been looking at snakes, scorpions, tarantulas and cockroaches today!!! :eek: Tiddles held a cockroach!! :eek:

One of her friends gets £5 per tooth!!! :eek::eek::eek:

3 teeth would add up to a fairly substantial book in my house.. we get comics and books and sensible things

Well a "bar of chocolate" turned into £20 worth of stufff! Watching Grand Designs again and going to spend the whole night chilling. Dishes and tidying up can wait! I'm having the whole night off! So thats the task of "half an hour for yourself" done about er.....4 times over.
