smoky - you are doing SO well in supporting your children. They are very lucky to have you as a mum. Remember that we're all here to help you in any way we can do.
hester - Katy just doesn't get it, does she? She must have a really, really thick skin or she's just incredibly naive. Make sure your son goes along with you wanting him to "move in"!
I hardly slept a wink last night. My car has got its MOT this morning (8.30am  better get dressed!) and last night DH was saying things like "if it doesn't pass". What? Not passing is not an option. It's only 4 years old and I *think* that everything is ok with it.
As I predicted yesterday, I've got loads of swaps on www.readitswapit.co.uk with people wanting my books. That means a trip down to the post office with loads under my arms. It's market day today, so it'll be good to have a mooch round there and see if there's anything that I'm "missing".
Better go and get dressed.

N9eav, 25 chickens, what are you going to do with them  I would love to keep chickens, but think the neighbours would have something to say
Horrible, dull and drizzly here today, but as it's 5p listing day on Ebay, I can find lots to do inside.
Pasta for lunch, and leek and bacon bake and pork chops for dinner.
xxYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
well after I posted last night I had another go at doing some rough bits and pieces of this essay. going to try and write it backwards...whats making it so difficult is the words I need to use, beneficence, non-malefience, consequentialism....its another language
washing machine is on, already got one load done to hang out once the sun gets up a bit. looks like its going to be a lovely day, and the garden is such a mess. could do with tidying it up, but I must chain myself to the keyboard! was just watching some birds fighting over some bits of dead leaves they must be building nests. was funny to watch because the garden is full of stuff they could use but they were fighting over the one bit
tea tonight will be gammon steaks.
smoky - so lovely to hear from you. what a dreadful time for you to have such problems with finances. as if you didnt have enough on your plate. hope you get things sorted, and you know you can call on lots of advice here at MSEx x x0 -

Its a lovely sunny day here today. We are off to London courtesy of Mr T :j . We are headed to London Bridge, we plan to definately do the London Bridge Experience & maybe the Clink Museum & Britain at War. Also hope to have a wander around Borough Market. We are taking snacks and drinks & hope to find somewhere cheapish for lunch.
So no real OS for me today but will be back to it tomorrow.
Have a lovely day.

Morning All!
Beautiful sunny day here. Going to get my hair done at 10am. The roots are awful, and I can hardly see through the fringe!:rotfl:
DS 's last day at college before the easter hols. Taking my dad shopping later. Sorted out some more of my Mammas stuff yesterday. I found two HUGE boxes of every card we've ever given her, birhday, xmas, mothers day..... I also found all mine and my sisters baby cards! I've kept them obviously, but I had to recycle the rest. It's too painful to look at them.:o
Love to Smokey, haven't read yesterday yet, but I wil. Glad to hear you're back. Thinking about you today.
Having a problem with an ebayer. She bought my Mammas Tom Jones Collection. She lives in Japan, and when I told her that it would cost £80 to post (Yes, really!) she wanted me to send some of the things, and not others, but I said no. waiting to hear what she's going to do. I did warn her before she bid that the postage was huge, what do you do with some people?:o
Anyway, have a good day all!I Believe in saving money!!!:T
A Bargain is only a bargain if you need it!0 -
Morning all
(((((HUGS))))) to all, especially Smokey.
Have only just got up, so off to put WM on, go for shower and then have coffee, then will tackle few hot-spots in living room. Will also be going through freezer to sort out tea for tonight (might be HM chilli con carne).
Very foggy here in Perranporth. But can still see the boating lake across the road. We have a couple of resident swans here, and they have finally decided to start nesting. So far 5 eggs. Lets hope that this year father swan will sit on the eggs to keep them warm when mother swan goes to feed. (he didnt last year and none of the eggs hatched).
Anyway, will keep you posted.

essex girl i hope you have a lovley day out
N9eav is it hard or expensive to keep chickens, my daughter is vegan and wants to keep a couple as pets - we are veggie so the eggs would be useful. shes been loking at an eglu but the setup cost for that is about £400!!
it ended up like the feeding of the 5000 at our house last night both dds bfs (i have two DDs not one with two BFS!) came round and other DS had a frind sleeping over so ended up with a rubber veggie shephards pie that was stretched out with wedges and veg. Luckily the birthday cake for youngest DS was big enough and he felt like it was more of a party
got woke up by elder DDs bf knocking on the door she hadnt told me he was round early today.
already got wm on its first load and house is still tidy from yesterdays blitz.not sure what dinner or tea will be yet (i really should embrace meal planning) DSs friend due home at dinner but they are returning the favour with ds tonight.
father in laws ecg went well so its all on for the op on friday hes really scared especially as theyve mentioned the chance or numbness or paralasis in the side of his face if the catch or damage the nerve. i'm praying it all goes well.

Hi,
Morning all, hope you are all well.
Keep meaning to post on this thread, but I am a nervous thing. So sorry if I don't know the backgrounds to things but help yourself to a ((hug)) from me.
Today I am w***ing (ooooh that looks rude) from home. Only have a small amount to do so it means I can get on with other bits and bobs.
I have to photograph and write up descriptions for about 30 ebayable items.
I really need to get the curtains down and give them a wash, but I think I will need help from the heavens in getting them dry as it looks like it is going to bucket down and I don't have a dryer.:rotfl:
The husband dropped a can of coke last night and then proceeded to open it whilst standing on my brand new beige rug!!:eek:Any ideas what to get the spots out with? Bit of neat stardrops?Anyone fancy buying my degree? It will only cost you £18k.
