    Afternoon all
I arrived home at 4 to find Katy already home & screaming into 2 phones at the same time, I have no idea if she got the job, but I don't think so, one of her callers is Aunty aunty, who is asking yet again why she can't come to the UK now as Katy has a room & a bathroom. Aunty aunty is sure I could squeeze 6 more people in if I tried. ROLL ON JULY.
    Hugs Hester

Been busy again today, or as busy as one can be when shuffling around like an 80yr old lol. Had my 24 week app with the midwife (albeit 2 weeks late lol) and she says i've got the SPD again :( I knew i'd got it but i've been in denial, i didn't get it until after 30 weeks with DD so thought i'd get away with it for a bit longer. At least this time they are listening to me, i told them something was wrong when i was pregnant with DD but they just kept saying it was my FM but i told them it wasn't, i can tell the difference with the pains. Anyway, being referred for physio and they're sorting out a support belt thing (oh the glamour!) so hopefully i can keep it under control. Baby is fine though so thats all that matters :)

OH is working in Glasgow on Mon/Tues/Wed next week so me and DD are going up to stay with him, its halfterm and it'll be nice to get away again, spend some time just with DD before jellybean arrives. Think i'm going to take her to the Science museum, she'll love that :) and probably to the cinema to see Horton.

HM turkey meatballs and spaghetti for tea :)

    Take care all

    Thanks hun :)

When i was pregnant with DD i had such bad morning sickness and also my FM flared up and i was always so tired and achy. This time though i've had no sickness, only 'normal' pregnancy tiredness in the early weeks and my joints have been a lot better, i feel full of beans! :D Everyone and every pregnancy is so different, dont let anything i say put you off lol

The SPD (Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction) can happen to anyone in pregnancy, its not directly connected to FM. I started with it around 30 weeks with DD and told the MW how i felt etc but they dimissed it as pains caused by my FM, despite me telling them that it wasn't, i could tell the difference.

It wasn't until after DD was born that my consultant said about SPD, as i described all the symptoms to him. I'm just thankful that this time round i am actually being listened to and taken seriously! i had a c-section with DD and will be having another one but its not always necessary just because you have FM, i had the SPD and also a small pelvis so my consultant advised an elective c-section to minimise the need for an emergency one if i had a long labour which triggered a flare-up.

Dont be taking any notice of me though, you'll never know until you try! I was certain i'd be exactly the same this time round but i feel fab :) Apart from the 80yr woman shuffle i've got going on :rotfl:

Take care, hope the pains ease off soon for you

    Hi Lilmisskitkat.

I ended up on crutches with SPD while carrying the twins. Take it easy. My midwife advised me to keep my legs together to reduce the pain. :shhh:

If you can get to the Science centre in Glasgow, it's well worth the trip and they have a cinema too.

Congratulations Nicola, I've been wondering where you'd got to. :D

Shez, my OH wants to know why things like that never happen to him at work. Mind you, he works with fishfarmers so it's probably for the best. :D
