Hester, let's hope that school keep to their word and don't extend her contract

There are enchiladas in the oven for tea, I just hope Mr Twit likes them.
It's just dawned on me that we are away this weekend, taking Miss Twit to visit her boyfriend in Southampton. The house looks as though a bomb has exploded, I'm working tomorrow and at the theatre tomorrow night to see Fiddler on the Roof and the cat hasn't been booked in at the cattery. Mr Twit has a Drs appointment on Friday morning, so we will be setting off after then. I think I'd better get my finger out and do something.

Hugs to those in need....Smoky and Anniestar especially.

Had a lovely wake up call this mirning, DS had a nose bleed! So 6.30am groggy in the bathroom holding tissue to DS nose.

Got 2 loads of washing on the line today.

Other than that not much os-ing here.

Work 9.30-2.30 then came home & tidied DS room & put together (again) the plamobil hospital.

I really must get my @rse into gear as have lots of family here on the w/e as cardiff are playing at Wembley on Sunday so although they are staying in the local travel inn, they will all come here. It will be chaos. Plus I am looking after my 9 month old niece & 6 year old niece on Sunday. 6 year old, although gobby will be no proble,. I worry about looking after the baby cos now my baby is nearly 6 the house is not very baby proof. Plus what if she cries?!?!

(((hugs))) to all those in need

    evening all,

Hope everyone is ok, and hugs to those that need them anniestar and Martyn to name a few.

Smokey I continue to think of you all and hope you are ok xxx

Well we went to the childrens hospice and its very very sad, seeing such ill children, but they are all SO happy the older ones were having races up and down the corridor in their wheelchairs  , really makes you be glad for what you have. We painted one of the parents bedrooms where they sleep while the children are very bad, and we were told that a single mum and her child would be in it at the weekend, how very sad. Hope I have done something worthwhile.

Nicola, congratulations on the baby :T , can we see a photo ?

Hester you are truly an :A :A

    Have good evenings all xx

Have finished watching our copy of Terry Pratchetts The Colour of Magic. This post reminded me of a particular line:-

Sound like this little lady might qualify :D

Another day gone.... written & handed a letter to exDH telling him not to phone or come round. If DD's want to see or speak to him, they can phone anytime they wish but I don't want him harassing us constantly.... Feel a bit more relieved but will see if it has the desired effect. Thanks Haribo for my hug :)

Did put the BM on this morning for seedy bread, but forgot to set it to raisin bake, and couldn't work out why the seeds didn't go into the bread.... D'oh!!! Glad to see people are enjoying lemonade scones too...It still seems bizarre that it works... I've just made some scrummy & very easy chocolate souffles we have eaten for pudding (definite comfort food). Saw AWT making them on daily cooks earlier, so had a go.

Glad to hear some are feeling brighter/better & starting or being offered new jobs :) ; hopefully back into the swing of '"proper" posting in the next couple of days.

Squiggly Diddly - fingers crossed your letter works!

Redruby - you are an :A

Well, another busy day at work  I'm really earning my pennies this month ;)

Ridiculously behind again with the housework, but in my defence it was DD's busiest day of the week. Football straight after school, a meeting at school regarding DD's residential trip, quick dash home, bath, dinner and straight back round to Brownies!! Also a work mate popped round to pick up some important work documents.

DH is watching the Chelsea match, and I'm sat in the kitchen on his lappie surrounded by dirtyness :o Ah well - I do have a glass of wine on the go, and The Apprentice is being recorded to watch when the footie finishes ;)

Going to stick a loaf on rapid bake so we've got some bread for packed lunches tomorrow. Need to pop out and buy some peas tomorrow so I can make shepherd's pie.

    Have a lovely evening (((((hugs)))))
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)
