OS Daily, Wednesday 2nd April 2008

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for today. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning everybody :hello:

I can't remember the last time I started the daily, but I'm suffering a rare bout of insomnia tonight  Woke up at 4:30 for a drink of water and to go to the loo and realised an hour later that going back to sleep was not going to happen...

I want to get to an Aqua Aerobics class today at the gym, so will probably go at lunchtime, however as I'm up early I also have the option of going to the early morning class (7:30) which would wake me up properly at least!

Am out tonight so dinner will be out of the freezer, still I cooked lots of things last week so plenty of HM ready-meals to choose from :)

((((hugs)))) to all who need them, especially Smoky. And Benthosboy/anniestar and all the others suffering from relationship problems/breakups, I hope you all have a better day today.

Love Rzl xx

Good morning Rzl, and everyone who follows/crosses!

Not much happening here today - found out yesterday that the pump has gone on my DW, so waiting for someone to fix it now, not sure when that will happen so we are still doing dishes by hand (much to the childrens disgust, we work as a team doing it together, and they dont want to!!) My friend has also offered her husband to put my laminate down (thanks for the offer yesterday Shez, and yes, prob will be done before CrazyChiks(unless you tell your OH and see if it motivates him??!!))
Made some lemonade scones yesterday, very nice, but not as sweet as i normally like.
Today i have a LO here, so not sure what we will be doing - im looking after 3 of my friends 4 children later as well while the other one has an appointment, but we will all go and watch DSs football training, as that is early today (5pm). They have their last league match on Saturday, and its a must win - if they win they will be second in their first season, and will be in the top division next year!
Anyway, enough drivel from me - hope everyone has a lovely day,

mrs mix :hello: Taplady :hello: Tru :hello: Pooky :hello: anniestar :hello:
:grouphug: and :hello: to everyone who wants/needs one xxx

I've already started today's thread (twice by mistake) but as this one has been added to by Catowen, I've added my post to it. Anyone know how I can delete my two or will the moderators do it?

Good morning everyone! Hope all is a well. Have just spent a lovely hour surfing the net uninterrupted!

Have just read the rest of yesterday's thread and MELLIKA - I would be tempted to involve the police. He shouldn't get away with what he's done and may well do it to someone else. This must be a horrible time for you. Would it be too inconvenient for you and your DH to get new mobile numbers - at least, then, he wouldn't be able to keep harassing you? I'm so glad your DH has not been taken in by all this. That should give you real strength and support.

SMOKY - Hope you are OK? Sending you and the LOs masive (((hugs))).

    CHURCHMOUSE - :hello: :hello: :hello:

AUSSIE - I'm loving your pics!

Well, yet again I have errands to run today and I need to get some PC speakers because my new monitor doesn't have any:confused: . I had just assumed it would. I also have to go to the bank and the post office so I do hope I don't have to spend half the morning queueing up!

Yesterday, I finished all the ironing and it was great waking up and not wondering how I was going to fit it in today!

HARIBO - in case you didn't see my last post yesterday, I'm so glad your kitty kat turned up! They become so much a part of the family, don't they? We don't have any at the moment but my DS2 and his GF have a lovely kitten and I feel like he's one of my grandchildren! He might not feel the same way towards me though, because I was the one who took him to the vet's to get 'done' IYKWIM!

Anyway, off to wake DH up and get the day going! See you all later,

    KathyXX

Oooh, sorry Mioliere, looks like we cross posted :) morning :hello: and morning catowen as well :hello:

Mellika - just caught up with end of last night's thread - it's not fair that somebody should be intimidating you like that, and you should definitely involve the police as it sounds like you'd have a good case for a restraining order. (STOP texting him, though - you don't want to give him the opportunity to turn it round against you).

    Morning all

Well, we're keen this morning, there are now 3 daily threads running, but I'm sure one of the mods will be around shortly to sort it :D

Dry here today, but grey and just listening to the weather forecast, it is going to get colder at the weekend, and possibly snow  - so much for British Summer Time

Work today, so got some fish out of the freezer, and will put it in the steamer with some veg while we take the dog out after work, so it will be done by the time we get back.

((( hugs ))) to anyone wanting one, have a good day everyone x

It's only just gone 7 & I'm already exhausted, what a night/morning I've had already, Ceridwen, no not that sort!
Katy has an interview today & overslept, I've had to wake her up, get her to the station, find her memory stick & lend her money, then come home & get hubby to the station. The full story is on my blog
    Have a good day everyone

Good morning all! That was the funniest April Fool Day for a long time :rotfl: I need to replenish my Tena Lady supplies :o Special thanks for redruby and thriftlady for being such sports :A We had the poisson d'avril for tea with Dimbleby special vegetable spaghetti ;) though next year I'll remember Rzl's advice to have it before noon :p

I survived my cycling to w***. The journey in was great (30mins compared to 15 in the car :T ) but the return was into the face of a gale and took 90 mins  I will be doing it again next week, though :j

Haribo - glad your cat turned up

Catowen - do you have the recipe for lemonade scones?

Off to the dentist later, then another baking day.

Have a lovely day, Penny. x
