Good Morning to everyone
Another bad nights sleep here. I just could not manage to get my leg in a comfy position at all. So i will probably end up dozing this afternoon. WM BM and DW are all sitting waiting for my attention in the meantime. I have just read Squiggly diddlys mention of lemonade scones. So might have a mini bakeathon and make some
Tonight we are having something with mince . I will have to search through the cupboards and see what grabs me.
(((((Hugs))))) to everyone who needs or wants one today. Either for themselves or a family member.
(I decided that since i always felt guilty about forgetting to mention people. If i send my hug to all. It helps me)
Hope you all have a great day....whatever you have planned xxfurrypig says:my name is Choccy and I am addicted to nose free stamps as I want to save them all and give them noses!!!:rotfl:
About me. Im Choccy or Chocolate orange depending on where i am.Yes occasionally i am a total looon who spends too long online, but no where near as much £ as her spendy elves do ..:D0 -
Good morning all :hello:
Have some dodgy hugs from me :grouphug: those that need them.
I was very bad yesterday and I didn't manage to get to the butcher (time had run out on my car), so instead we had a veggie stir fry. DH was a little distressed by the lack of meat  so I've got to make a concerted effort to pop to the butcher today for some mince for spaghetti bolognese. Tell me off if I don't.
I've listed a few books on www.readitswapit.co.uk It's tricky to post during term time, but last time I had so many requests that I'll keep them on until next Tuesday. I've got a few more to list, so I'll do that before having a shower.
Lots of sorting out to do too......... Grrr.....
Have a good day everyone.

 Morning All from all 3 threads.
Jet -Re the kids clock adjustment. I always worked full time which meant up at 5.45am and to work for 7.30 am (DH's start time). Hence DS always had to get up early in the week, also he did at the weekend:rolleyes: , but that was the price we had to pay. Result though is he cannot really stay in bed, his job now means at 6 am wake up and he copes without a problem, weekend a lay in is 9 -9.30 even if he was out late, he sometimes goes back later . . . :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Coffee made and first cup drunk, BM on, me time for the next hour then much of a muchness for the rest of the day.
Called round at my neighbours last night, who has just had to have new floors and decorated out for water damage. Spare a thought for those who have had to move out, the country are so short of tradesmen these we do it all Companies employed by the insurance companies are employing some "jack of all trades" result is chaos, re-do, bodges, etc:eek:  . Charge a fortune do the minimum. Her furniture is due back today, bathroom/toilet not finished. Painting (woodwork) being re-done and she has already had 4 rooms re-carpeted before they found the bodge hence the re-do. Ended up fetching, Stardrops, White Vinegar and Microfibre cloths to help her try to clean up a bit:rolleyes: . It may be good if you have a slum to start with, but not when your home was good before. Two neighbours have had the same experience, and the estimated time out of the house goes well over, frustration kicks in and they in the end accept an inferior job and then fix it themselves over the next few months/years. This is with complaining vigourously too, and they get no support from the loss adjusters, makes you think about back pockets:eek: .
On second cup of coffee now, so better get on.
((((hugs)))) all round, especially Smoky, how are you doing Anniestar?

Morning All! Really enjoyed the fooling yesterday, thanks to all concerned.
However, it was a bad day here - I had my laptop on nearly all day, so nothing else got done. Today is going to be a "15 minute" day, interspersing different housework tasks with me-time along the way. However, it's already taken me 16 minutes to power-up the laptop and read this far! I hope to get my kitchen, dining room and livingroom looking pristine again, cut out the material for DH's nightshirt and walk the dogs. Inbetween times I'll put the BM on, make macaroni cheese for lunch and roast chicken for dinner this evening. Hmm, better stop now then! Big ((HUGS)) to all who need one today.Resolution:
Think twice before spending anything!0 -
Morning all,
Smokey - Hope you are taking things one day at a time
Benthos - Chin up, chicken
JackieO - Pinter, ugh . I meant to say yesterday, roll on the end of April :j
Scuzz - Spain! How exciting
Aussie - I don't think I will click on your pictures anymore as they are actually beginning to terrify me as they gradually get worse
Was going to have a lie in, but gave up as next doors builder's are making loads of noise (and have been since 8.00)
I think I might have to 'do a tru' at my OH soon - he is getting seriously bad at getting up in the mornings, worse than a teenager! This morning he set his alarm for 6, but didn't get out of bed until quarter to 8 (to leave at 8). All this time, his alarm is going off, and of course I can't go back to sleep cause I know he should be getting up. Either set your alarm later, or get up when it first goes off
I want to make an energy use spreadsheet today, as our leccy bill is HUGE (we're talking £300+ for the quarter here  _pale_ ). Kinda listing the meter reading in the am, the pm, and a list of appliances that were used that day, so we can see which ones are energy suckers. Is there a better way of doing it? I don't suppose there is a spreadsheet like that on MSE?
Not sure what else I will be doing today apart from that. Ebay listings I think.
Dinner is leftover Shepherds Pie
have a good one :beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Morning! :hello:
Today I'm going to be finally starting the schoolwork that I've been avoiding.:o
Monday was shopping day and yesterday I helped at the Church Drop In in the morning and then cleaned the house in the afternoon. So today I'm ready! Although I do need to pop out to pick up a new rear lamp for our car later, as I had broke the other one reversing into an invisible bollard.
The 'not a diet' is going well and I've lost 2lb so far, although I know the weight loss is greatest in the first week, but at least it's going down. I made a huge pan of veg and chicken soup last night using all of the scraps of vegetables and the chicken and stock from Monday's roast chicken, so that will be lunch for the rest of the week. We also had chicken fajitas last night, so the chicken has been stretched again.:D
The wm is on and and tonight's tea will be hm pie, new potatoes and lots of veg.
Have a good day!0 -
Hi there all of you. First of all, please forgive me for the confusion I put you all through with my two thread-starters! I am really sorry, honest! I'll make sure I've woken up properly next time!
Now I've forgotten my mentions - oh, yes, MARTYN - this is the first day of the rest of your life. If yesterday was the worst day of your life, things can only get better, honest.
SCUZZ - wow, you lucky duck!
AUSSIE'S pics are beginning to alarm me, too. Has anyone checked out the rest of the site that she is getting them from? What a weird world she lives in, bless her!
Well, I've done all the chores I had lined up in the house but now I have to go to the bank, post office, etc so I've just popped in with a quick cup of coffee to see how you all are.
(((Hugs))) for those who are poorly, in pain or just feel like one.
We had a bright sunny start here but now it looks like rain so I shall have to hang the washing up on the airer upstairs. I hate doing that job!
Anyway, off for now and will catch up later. I'm sure there was something else I wanted to say. I bet you're all thinking 'she's waffled enough already and she messed up the thread at the start! Surely, she can't have any more to say'!
See you all later.

morning everyone
still being lazy - oh dear! Must make a concerted effort to be better
Dad came over for dinner last night unannounced which was a nice surprise as I don't see him often. It prompted a mad dash to Mr T's as there was nothing in. We had moules marinier for starter and then trout poached in white wine for mains. Couldn't face a pudding after all that!
Having dinner at a friends tonight - it's HM soup and bread for DH. He's not getting to come with me!!!!
see you all later xxr.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0
