    Morning all.

Hope all are good. Any who aren't, join me and we WILL get there.

I had an incredibly bad day yesterday, possibly the lowest of my entire life. After delivering the divorce papers by hand and being told that it might all be sorted in a few weeks, I walked out of the county court building in Weymouth and the world just dissolved in front of me. I have very little memory of driving home and it feels now as if I've done 10 rounds with Lennox Lewis. The balance of all that is that the support and strength I so desperately needed was offered and I honestly can't say thank you enough.

With that in mind, I shall be tentatively taking tiny little steps from now on. I had no idea how low a body could get until all this came along. At times like this, I wish I was a woman, then I'd be strong enough to deal with it :o and if anyone ever says that women are the weaker sex, they'll have me to answer to.

Tonight's tea is defrosting as I speak, I've got some squidgy bananas to use up and I've found some blackberries in the freezer so it might be an incineratingly good night tonight

Take care, take it easy and try and have as good a day as possible.

    Good Morning Chums ,
well I had a great night at the local theatre although the play was a bit obscure we all enjoyed it (Pinter's 'The Birthday Party' ). a night out is a real bonus at my time of life I can tell you.Anything that gets me away from the 'idiot box' is great
Today i am off to Bluewater to meet up with my friend who has just come home from a cruise and a wader around America again. She and her husband love to travel and she is such a good tonic to be with .We are treating ourselves to lunch, plus the cinema and maybe a coffee and a Krispy Kreme doughnut afterwards. I know how to kick over the traces don't I.
The weather isn't looking too promising ,but instead of driving, I am going to use my shiny new bus pass, and save both my petrol and the planet ( pats oneself on the back )
The new ones mean I can go anywhere in England via a bus .I can see some cheap days out looming when the weather gets better.
I just looked at the five day forecast for the Medway area and it says we will have heavy snow on Sunday:eek: where's all this global warming gone then. oh well I dare say we will get a spring at some point this year .At least I don't look quite so daft with my hats on to protect my bald head at the moment.Well I hope everyone has a good day whatever they do and <<hugs to those in need >>
Benthosboy, the worst bit is over now, it's onwards and upwards , get that chin up lad, and stick a smile on your fizog, no matter what life is for living not regretting.
Smokeybabe Take one day at a time my dear, it will get better I promise you.
Love to the rest of you all

Morning all.... why is it that now I've got a few days off I seem to have less time to get on here.....

Probably all the aggro going on with exDH over past [strike]7 years[/strike] fortnight but managed to sort an initial appointment for counselling for oldest DD yesterday. She really doesn't need all this with her GCSE's about to start. I'm an adult, I can deal with it (sort of) but she can't. At least the other 2 let it go over their heads a bit, but it's affecting everyone.

Anyway, spotted a couple of people asking for lemonade scone recipe - I put it on one of the daily threads a few days ago, but can't remember which one (and you'd probably have to trawl through millions of posts...) So

16oz SR flour; 8fl oz NON-diet lemonade; 8fl oz double cream.
Mix cream/lemonade in a jug, add to flour, mix gently just until dough formed. Roll dough out & cut out scone shapes. Bake in oven (180C?) for 10-15 mins ish. They are very light & nice - not hugely sweet but that can be compensated for by lots of raspberry jam & clotted cream.....

Not sure what I'm doing today, feeling a bit :( and fed up and tired.

(((((((hugs)))))) to all that need them; smokey & martyn special ones for you.

    Morning All

(((Hugs))) to all who need one.

Looks like a nice day here at the moment, think I need to check the weather forcast for the next few days though - snow! I thought that would be all gone by now. Its been so lovely letting the kids go play around the village - been peaceful to say the least.

Today have a couple of office jobs to do but need to wait for the post before I can get on - that could be anytime between 9am & 2pm. So will probably make a start on the ironing first thing then in the office later.

Think is pork chops with mash and veg tonight - need to check the menu plan.

    Have a great day.

    Morning All

Technical nightmares at work for the second day running. All good fun.

Looks like I may be getting a job in Spain possibly! Been asked to go over and check the place out. So may pop out for a weekend with a colleague who's been asked to do the same.

My car's still waiting for the mechanic to come and investigate, but hopefully that'll be done soon. I'll have broadband at home from next Monday - how exciting :T

Mr Bumble, the ISA money box, is getting regular feeding. Only 20-50p a time, but all adds up. Must go and see ISA people as I need to pay some money in before Friday

Need to write a cheque to the solicitor later to get them off my back and having a look for a Spanish learning aid, maybe a CD-Rom.

    Hope everyone's ok
