I feel dreadful this morning - it might be to do with the two litres of ice-cream and bottle of red wine I ate for dinner last night whilst staring at absently at a 3 inch computer game screen for four hours straight. I can't be left alone for five minutes. :rotfl: :rotfl:
Actually, you can't be me. Because with me it wasn't ice-cream, it was double portions of HM comfort food. And the wine, albeit in the same quantity, was ros!. And the computer game screen was the one on my phone, so 2 inches rather than 3. But in all other respects we spent the evening in an identical manner...
(in fact, this morning when I woke up at the ungodly hour of 4:30, I found my phone still logged into Snakeswhich must mean I fell asleep while playing it )
scuzz - hope the job in Spain works out. It can't be any worse than where you work at the moment...
Benthosboy - what JackieO said((hugs))
By the way, I'm going to the opera tonight, to see Carmen. I've got a standing ticket which was £11 - bargain! The seats in front of the standing area I'm in sell for well over £100   so I get an identical view for less than a tenth of the price! It's the same production that was broadcast on BBC2 on Boxing Day, though most of the singers are different. It should be an MSE evening as I saw it last time it was on, so I don't need to buy a programme (it will have all the same articles in it as the last one), and they give out cast sheets for free. Also it's not the first night, which makes it much less likely that I'll run into people I know and end up in the pub afterwards

:rotfl: :rotfl: I had to eat all the ice-cream
.... we don't have a freezer and it wouldn't go in the ice box... so it would have been a terrible waste not to eat it. I shall consider it OS...because I used it all up before it went bad and stretched the real food for another day by not eating my actual dinner.
And it was on offer in Somerfield.
That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it :rotfl: :rotfl:
Oohhh.. I love opera - hope you have a great time this evening.
I just got the data output I've been waiting for at work - and it works - wooo hoo! Don't think I can face any more wine to celebrate though *rubs head in pathetic way* Why am I better at my job when I'm hallucinating through lack of sleep and have a hangover?:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -

Well,. Work text asking me to go in ASAP, I replied immediately saying yes fine, then got a text back saying it had already been covered.
Think I need some retail therapy to recover, will head into Liskeard to poke around the chairty shopsWe must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Hi all - just had to come home after going to the bank and post office because I was dying to go to the loo - too much coffee on here this morning! Now I have to go out again. Had a very scary drive to the petrol station - I think I coasted the last mile on fumes. £10 worth of petrol lasts about five minutes these days!
See you a bit later on! (((Hugs))) to all.

Afternoon all,
Did a post earlier and it disappeared so here we are again
Not a bad day really, got some sweaters onto line, hopefully they will dry somewhat at least as I hate stuff hanging around and I refuse to have a TD...last one I had cost me a fortune in electricity so no way am I going that road again.
DD2 and DGD1 have just been to get hair cut, DD was horrified at price...€55 for cut and blow dry for her and cut for DGD...I just have mine cut seldom as possible, not so bad since it curled a bit when I went on anti-depressants ...sits better.
Smoky...hugs and supportive wishes for you and your children
Hugs to all who are in need or want

well, its been a fairly productive day so far in sky city, the ovens been cleaned, the (huge) bag of paperwork has been organinsed into nice tidy files and the washings been done. Also been with mil2b to buy a washing machine for her, she paid, I provided discount, although she gave the amount discounted from the price so me and oh can go out for a meal, so me thinks its pizza hut for tea tonight.
Just having a rest coz Im really tired now, might go have a lie down actually, before doing some baking, gonna make peanut butter cookies, lemon curd and sausage rolls, weird combination, but hey, that me for you.
Must remember - Need to steal the shreddar from my mum and dads coz I've so many docu's to destroy...
Hope everyones having fun!!!!!!!When life gives you lemons......Grab a bottle of tequila and call me over!

Hello all !
Just got back from shopping - few bits and pieces for gift hampers and a pair of curtains from the charity shop that should fit in the kitchen for £2.50p.
Started off quite cool so on went my winter coat............by the time I got to the town I felt vastly overdressed -sun came -finished my shopping and collapsed in heap in the garden of local patisserie...................lol (not literally collapsed !)
Relief to get taxi back home .............now the suns gone in, skys looking grim.
Got one lad off school with a really bad cold - he said, and I have to admit he sounded a bit rough...............I get back from town and where is he ? Out with the other lad I suspect...............neither of them are here anyway.
On the plus side it gives me some peace............but shortly I'll have to start ringing round to see where they've got to. No doubt sitting round someones house, loud music etc. and having a great time chilling out.
Bad cold my *** !! School tomorrow I think !!
Have a great day all.......and hugs (((((((((((((:o )))))))))))to all those who need them.Mary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Washing is on the line outside and chicken thighs are in the slow cooker so I can use them for other recipes.
Have just cooked some red lentils and letting them cool before I freeze half and use the rest to make a soup. Might add the remains of the gammon to it as well!
Need to post stuff to DD in Oxford and have sold a book through Amazon as well so need to post that too.
Hugs to everyone especially smokey, Martyn and anniestar."This site is addictive!"

Youre one of those "women" that my DH used to encounter sometimes...:rotfl:
Actually I must tell you.....on monday my DH was doing some painting outside for this guy (he was at work), when the lady of the house shouted out could he come and have a look at something inside. He went in - only to find her standing in the bedroom in stockings & high heels and nothing else!!
he kindly declined her offer and came home:rotfl:
I found it very funny, in fact I thought it sounded worthy of Hesters Blog!!:rotfl: :rotfl:
Its not the first time either, when they've asked him if "theres anything else he fancies with his tea???!!!!:rotfl:
It must be a "builder" type of attraction - we do love a man getting grubby!
(I was hesitating in telling you lot just incase DH comes on here and read this:o )
oh yes...and my OS for today is ive put a half leg of lamb in the SC!!0
