Thanks to Ed I am adding a black skirt and cream tops plus several light colourful scarves. Well that is me sorted for the next couple of years.
I did some other sorting today ie `just in case` meds, blister plasters etc as I have been caught out abroad from time to time. They are now sorted and in lightweight ziplock poly bags
Packing should be a doddle next time around.0 -
Been playing with my latest Ski-ing Toy. Contract due for renewal on mobile phone, so after reading advice on here, got a massive upgrade of phone and text minutes, free internet and a free Blackberry phone, so when I get a big enough Magnifying glass may even post from there.
Glad you have been enjoying your breaks. Next one for us is Scarborough and Malton for Bank Holiday Week in the 'van.

Happy New Phone, Donny-Gal!
Mine is so awful that I'm waiting for my son to have an upgrade so I can have his old one.
Luddite here - what's a Blackberry Phone? (And what's Bluetooth, I thought it was a cattle disease...?)(AKA HRH_MUngo)

:rotfl: Our sons always inherit ours, but we tend not to go for the all-singing all-dancing versions. "Hello, I'd like a phone. To make phone calls. And send texts. And yes, I do sometimes take photos but don't always manage to download them. And I like listening to the radio. But actually if you had one which JUST made calls and did texting, I'd be fine."seven-day-weekend wrote: »Happy New Phone, Donny-Gal!

Actually I must wrap a phone for DS1, his has nearly broken so I said I'd post my old one off to him!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Yes, I'm quite happy with a phone that just does phone calls and texts. In fact my husband's mobile and the one with the Spanish SIM card in are old NOKIAs which just do calls and texts and fit into the car cradle and we love these phones. I don't want an all-singing, all-dancing one. But mine was £6.99 with £5 worth of credit from EBay, it looks awful, the style of text is grim and it says 'suitable for the elderly' on the box. At the time I just wanted a really cheap one to keep my English SIM card in when I'm in Spain (when I'm in the UK I take the Spanish SIM card out of the NOKIA and use that).
Here it is, strangely enough it has a reasonable review!:

Well if I was going to pay more, it would have been a no-no, but getting more the same or less is me:o.
It now means I can see the emails when in the 'van for free without having to trip off to McDonalds or pay extra for mobile Bband. Luckily I love technology and find it easy. The emails on it are very easy to read tbh, it is web pages which are harder, I think the spectacles I have for embroidery may be the answer there.
A bonus is DS now has the latest Blackberry (touch screen) mine has keys;) and a qwerty keyboard which I find good, but due his internet access programs in his flat we can now talk on Blackberry IM, instead of MSN IM.
Negotiating on DH's phone now, but need to keep to a very simple phone.

No such luck - will be on the usual dial up or McD in France. O2 do use your free texts from abroad 4 for each text but that is more than enough for me with 1000 free.
If anyone has a phone where the contract period has ended or due to end, it is worth reading the retentions thread for our phone company here. Good old MSE

I received my zloty`s today and decided to order euros for dec as the rate is starting to look dodgy again. Its all about a bird in the hand and I am happy with 1.1362
Also compression socks arrived and I decided on sigvaris ones. They are excellent to put on and I did a fair bit of looking around for a good pair. I got a nice new silk scarf off ebay too. I feel as though I am going to be hopping from one holiday to another and hoping to spend warm summer months here0
