I've just taken the plunge and ordered a HDTV and the X-Box 360 with Project Gotham Racing 3, as mentioned earlier in the thread.

The discount codes have saved me a total of £75 in delivery fees, and another £125 in relation to discounts (I ordered the TV seperately from the 360).

This has to be one of the best threads I have come across in terms of saving me money - I know I've just spent a fair whack but to save £200 is absolutely fantastic so thank you to all who have contributed here.

I think you are confusing the core console. This is the cheaper version that nobody is ordering. Amazon link to it..

24electric deal is OVER the RRP of £210. They are selling the core version for £244.

PCWORLD: £290 delivered so £80 over RRP for the core console.. but you get a wireless controller (worth £30) and a game (£40).. so still paying over the odds.

ARGOS: £350. So £70 over RRP for decent version.. with 2 games (£80).. so saving £10, but one game isnt one that anybody wants.

Also, if you go to asda online you can pre-order games with 15% off till Monday night. So games are £34 each. Therefore cheaper to buy a console for £280, and buy games seperately

Oh, and DONT buy the core console. You NEED the HD , which is £70 on its own , or you cant play Xbox games, or save games etc. Plus u get extra stuff free.

Currys dont sell console full pack on it's own which sux...

BEWARE - most places have now SOLD OUT of their PRE ORDER allocation of full system consoles!! A few have some left but make you buy a game and controller too...

Best deal I found was cashback at https://www.rpoints.com and a £5 discount voucher!

Have just put my order in at currys using the £25 discount and going through the egg card link, which will hopefully give me 10% cashback (whcih would be very nice) otherwise greasy palm do 1.5%. not sure what the other cashback sites give.
I'm thinking it's pretty unlikely that I'll be in the first batch of deliveries, seems everyone is stopping doing preorders on the full console. bah!
