morning all.
I'm off to look at my bank account and see the avalanche of DD's which I'm guessing have come out today.
My £0 total is going to get smashed to smithereens I feel...........
Edit: Gas, electric and Virgin...........£84.40........not as bad as I thought......"Stay Wonky":D

Hi,
I have finally gone through my spreadsheets and now my total spent is £503.37 after I took all the cost of animals off from the challenge. That means that I am well in the budget. I have also managed to track all my winnings from casino/bingo/GN and the total is fabulous £437.07 (without the GN cashback). Not all the money has hit my bank account as yet but I have added it anyway as now finally got to grips with all the transactions.
Here are couple of websites that lists free bingo sites. Please be very careful with the T&Cs as not all of them let you transfer the winnings made with bonus points.

(I like the first site more)
Good luck!

Good morning all, I was just updating my signature and realised that it's only 2 days until DAY 100! I think I'll have some sort of celebration, like a special dinner, or make a fancy dessert or indulge in whatever discounted 'goodies' I can find.
Sorry to hear about all the 'ex' escapades, I just don't have anything to do with mine and my kids are old enough to please themselves. I don't actually know the last time DS spoke to his father but can't say anything as DD is still in the huff with me. Can DD's disown mothers on the grounds of objecting to frugality?
Gardens and seed planting - I got a response from the seed seller and he has sent a combined invoice, so I have saved another 45p. Grand total for 4 large packs of seeds - £2.43 including P&P and I had about £4 in my PPPay account, so used that. :T Will let you all know how quickly they are delivered before committing myself fully to a top recommendation.
Dry, sunny and cold here today and I have a stack of work related post to complete for this afternoon. I also want to start the great ISA search so not to miss any interest but after considering the 'Interest beater' part of the challenge it is making 6.5% seem a pittance. Is anyone else finding that they'd like to get more for their money?
Hope everyone is doing OK and enjoys the first working day of the new tax year. I guess the postage will be up in price, glad I don't need to fork out for what I have been spending recently never mind what it's going to be from now.
Marru - thanks for the bingo links, I'll take a look at them since I tried the free bingo last Thursday - won nothing and found nothing exciting about it but free money is worth suffering some boredom. This Thursday, I'll try to inject some excitement and see if it helps generate a win.
Back again with an update:
I copped out of trying to get the best deal for my ISA allowance and just lumped the whole amount straight into the IF.com 5.35%. Egg is offering 6.05% with annual interest (I prefer monthly) but when I tried to apply. their site was down, so I treated it as an omen and played safe. (I'm a wimp at heart.)
Checked on supermarket.co.uk and spotted far more offers in Somerfield that Tesco, so I'm off for a jaunt to see what bargains can be bagged after I've been to the posty.
Also received the despatch notification for all my seeds, so I might be able to get them sown before next weekend at this rate
Doodle pip, fellow frugalites. I'll update my signature with today's damage as soon as I get back.I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

If you're still looking for seeds, B&Q sell packets of lettuce, radish, beetroot and carrots for 38p. Don't know if they're any good, but that's pretty cheap I think?0

hya everyone.....well thats me officially a tip raker!!!!
Got 4 x 40 litres of free compost....:j The tip will be my most visited place for a few days. The council provide proper compost bags and a shovel ....and you do the rest
I've got a wee patch of garden at the front so will top the soil using this compost and will be back tomorrow so I can get some more and will use those to try and grow the potatoes using the tecnhique from TV last night
If anyone's interested all Jamie did was to bury a potato in the bag then halfway down slit the bag and push another potato in. lean the bags against the wall and water and wait, saves on plant pots but he makes everything look so easy doesnt he???
Might be worth anyone checking to see if their council does the samecheerio hen0 -
Well done all the gardeners :T
I haven't had as good day:The competition that I won was only for house owners (I obviously didn't read T&Cs) and I didn't get anything. Had I had a property I would've got a free time share apartment worth £3750.- Life is so unfair.
I tried to call tax credit people to amend my income as this tax year I am not employed anymore it is now 100% self employed but thery were UPDATING THEIR SYSTEM!!! On a first day of the tax year!!! How dare they.
I am in a real pickle with my car insurance. It is my car but as I and my ex both used it (and at the time my UK licence was shining new) we decided that he should own it and insure it. Now I am the only user of the car and as it happens all those lovely no claims years have just vanished to the air. And I don't know how I can manage to transfer the ownerhip as he is not talking to me at the moment. I got a quote for over £400.- for my car insurance
After I have finished crying I will hit the DVLA and all the price comparison sites for more info. I have till October to sort it out but I am preparing my budget for DMP and I need to know now.
On a positive note: Nyk how about "Home based enterprises" thread?

I could leave and come back but I think I'd be even less inclined to be working late if I see the outside world for a while :rotfl: . God I hope its worth it. :rolleyes:Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!
