  • Well, so far so good, one load of washing out the way, dishwasher run and bread doing its proving thing, quite productive for one of my mornings. Also logged into my eon account to give them my gas meter readings coz the silly people there had estimated millions in comparison to my acual use ( okay slight exaggeration maybe).

Just got a few bits of tidying left and I need to pop to shops to grab some popcorn as me and other half are having a movie night, trying to get as much done before five coz then I have to meet the ex to get my monthly repayments of the money he owes me, not fun and always makes me feel bad even though hes the who got me into most of my debt....oh god I'm rambling on, sorry, its just he really upsets me and...well I'll be quiet on that subject now.

Just putting on some music and grabbing my luch before putting on load two and finishing my tidying up, hope everyines having good days.

    Afternoon everyone.

Lovely and sunny here in the Northeast. Im a bit disorientated what with the clocks going forward and being night shift Sat and Sun. Slept most of yesterday and this morning. Need to pop out to the shops and then Im going to see mum who is in a nursing home.

Got a bargain this morning, which Im sitting on now. A office chair for £19.99 I have been sitting on a dining chair with a cushion on it for I dont know how long. DD helped to put it together.

Hugs to those who need them. Take care everyone.

Think of the proverb: "Many a true word spoken in jest" and you'll realise just how true your words are.

In my case, I've got "Never dreamed you'd leave in Summer" by Joan Baez, "Like a Rolling Stone" by the sainted Bob Dylan and "Solitaire" by Andy Williams on mine :D

And if Joan Baez knocks on my door, I'm out of here :o;):D :rotfl:

    Martyn.

And if anyone is up for it, I'm compiling a Top 100 of ironically relavent tunes with such classics as "Breaking up is hard to do" and "What becomes of the broken-hearted". Owzabout that then, Guys'nGals :D

  • Afternoon all,

managed to drag myself out of bed to get the boys to school and still feel awful. Have just stuffed my face with chocolate to help me feel better but now feel sick as well. Pounding head and queasy tum and stuffed up nose, ache all over and just want to crawl under a stone for the rest of the day. Got to take DS1 to karate after school, think my day is proving to be one long endurance test.

Sorry about the feeling sorry for myself post.

Will be back when I feel better.

Back to bed and get some rest methinks. Don't worry about the chocolate, even if you feel bad it IS doing you good :D , don't worry about feeling sorry for yourself, I haven't got the monopoly on it, and check which stone you crawl under. I might already be there

    Hiya! :hello:

    Big hugs to Smoky.

Kyle hope you and your DS are feeling fit again soon.
wannasave money hope you get better soon too.

    I shouldn't be on here.
    I shouldn't be on here.
I shouldn't be on here...etc I feel like a naughty school girl as I should be doing my work for school. Lots of assessments and records that will be filed away in a filing cabinet and probably never looked at again.

So today is the first day of my 'I'm going to lose a stone before I'm 40 (may 28th) plan'. :rotfl:
I'm determined to shift my spare tyre and currently weigh 10 stone 12 pounds, so if I get down to 10 stone I'll be delighted. My jeans are rather snug and I can definitely pinch an inch, more like 6!
So today I had a big bowl of Ready Brek for breakfast, a banana and some hm veg soup for lunch. Tonight's tea will be roast chicken, potatoes, parsnips, carrots and green beans and strawberries for desert. I'm going to avoid eating too much bread and stay away from crisps, chocolate, cakes and sweets. Although I think I'll have a little treat at the weekend. I need to do more exercise as all I seem to do is walk upto school. Right that's the end of my boring not a diet plan. I will post my progress in my sig as an incentive to lose the weight.

After taking the girls to school I did the food shopping in Asda and almost stayed in budget. :o I also went to Argos and treated myself to a new (cheapy) cd/cassette/radio player which will go in the kitchen. As I seem to spend most of my time in there I always listen to Radio 4 or play my CDs. My old one was falling apart and the radio reception wasn't very good and this new one only cost £13 and is really dinky. :D

Right I'm off to peel and chop the veg and then collect the girls from school. I might start my work after tea and then again, I might do it tomorrow.
    Have a good day!:D

    Morning all!

. Mind you, I made some unexpected & unpleasant discoveries about my bf at the weekend and have just split up with him, so I think I can be excused for being a bit of a mess at the moment.

:hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: Hi everyone

Soooooo many now to mention but it is lovely to meet all the newbies and also catch up with everyones news.

    Busygirl
Good luck --- go for it YOU CAN DO IT but I am sure you look great anyway.

Thanks for wave Taplady -- this saddo looks for it every day and it makes me smile !!!!

Hope everyone is feeling brighter and special wishes to Smokey and her family --- I can only hope that everyone here is managing to make such sad days a little more bearable.

Was really useless yesterday as had a stiff neck ---- how ridiculous -- dont know how I did it but was in agony and looked pathetic. Went to bed wrapped in scarves, hot water bottle on my neck and vowed to feel better in the morning and it is a lot better today. Off to Morocco on Wednesday so I hope the improvement continues.

Eating out of the freezer so good on the OS front and trying for no spend days.

Gentle thoughts to all those who need them and congratulations to all those celebrating
Try and do a good deed every day.
