Did I hear my name mentioned?:rotfl:

I love John Lewis as much, if not more, than the next girl, but I do have to say their haberdashery is now pants:p The flagship store on Oxford Street used to devote a huge proportion of the ground floor to haberdashery and all craft items. You could spend the best part of a day just browsing fabrics, trimmings, threads, buttons, yarns etc etc. Now that department is on the 3rd or 4th floor and everything is crammed into a space smaller than any independent high street shop. Just sooooo sad, but I suppose it reflects the demand ( or rather lack of it) for these things. But they're ace for everything else:D Half my home has come from JL. Best quality around;)

    CM xx

I'm glad that i share my addiction with someone else. DH hides (taking his wallet with him) when I mention JL :rotfl:

    morning again,

Housework all done :T :T :T , made up DD's lunch for the next two days, and another three rolls made up and in the freezer, I hate making up lunchboxes, but in reality it only takes minutes :o , washing is blowing on the line, will keep an eye on it though as the sky is looking black over younder.

DW is doing its thing, and I have one of Aussie's impossible pies in the oven, I tried to put it in a sprung pie tin thing, but it kept leeking out  not sure what I have done wrong, anyone who has one which way should the base go in ? rough or smooth side up ? and is there a knack for making them liquid tight ? anyhoo I ended up putting it in a loaf tin :o:o hope it works.

Just got an online shop to do, then a small pile of paperwork then I'm done :T

Kyle, hope you all start to improve soon, hugs to your poor ds xx

Twink hope you don't get it xx

    BETHEEBEE hugs to you xx

Martyn garlic scones ? spill the recipe :D

Pen pin, hugs to you xx

Aussie that picture was worse than yesterdays, are you sure you are not getting your DH to model the costumes :D

Well better get on, hope you are all having a good day xx

    Morning all!

Not having a v. old style day today - didn't even manage to have breakfast before I left for work, never mind sorting out a packed lunch. Mind you, I made some unexpected & unpleasant discoveries about my bf at the weekend and have just split up with him, so I think I can be excused for being a bit of a mess at the moment.

Might try to cook a proper dinner this eve, although not feeling v. hungry. Also need to do a bit of housework - might pop over to the FlyLady thread for inspiration. The place is somewhat messy at the moment.

Incidentally, can iPods wear out if one plays 'I Will Survive' and 'These Boots Were Made For Walking' on permanent repeat? :D

    Morning all

Sitting her stuffing my face with a nice warm hobnob made from Twinks recipe. When they are all cold I will finish them off with some melted chocolate from a half price easter egg that I used some of yesterday for some fairy cakes mmmmmmmmm

Well I've been out shopping and went into Wilkos and got a long planter and 2 packs of Babiana bulbs (never heard of them myself but the pic on the front looks lovely and colourful) to plant in it to brighten up the patio.

Don't work Mondays or Tuesdays so the usual round of housework, ironing etc etc will keep me busy over the next 2 days - such an exciting life I lead:rolleyes:

    Well, take care everyone

    Hello all !

Lovely sunny day............well it was....clouding over now a bit..........ooops......no, sun coming through again................lol
Least it got OH out in the garden this morning while I had a meeting with soc. worker. Meeting to follow it at the office was cancelled.............completed mucked my day up as I'd planned it all around times etc. Not very good at re-adjusting the brain to channel it into something else...........lol
Still, got list of phone calls to make so I can plough through them after lunch.
