The kitchen was the first thing we did.. it was disgusting and I hated to use it, the units were falling apart the work surfaces were rotten and the floor was stinking of dog pee.. I couldn't get it clean.. now it is lovely.

pigpen, what units did you use and what worktop? We are having great difficulty in deciding,; basically because we like different things. Have you any photos?

I cleared out the cupboard under the stairs and hung the big mirror back on the wall. And cleared the stairs. The hoover is sitting there all ready to go. I'm hoping those pixies will come back, I could do with them now!

DS1 and I have chicken noodle soup (very OS, used the chicken carcass from last nighst dinner to make it), I don't think I can eat it to be honest, just kinda stirring it and breathing in the steam. DS2 doesn't know what he wants. I am starting to feel really really bad again.

Can I chuck kids in bed with a DVD at 6pm? Or would that make me a horrible Mum? I can't even have more drugs till 8pm. And I am taking everything! Sudafed (cos chemist didn't have galasud but sudafed are crap), anadin extra and ibuprofen. I want a bath and my bed.

Go for it - sell it as a treat, send them up with a bed picnic or something. Won't do any harm as a one off.

I only have two flu tablets left and am saving them for bedtime. If the boys don't stop whinging and fighting soon they will be going to bed as well.

The only thing left from the original are the 3 double sockets!!! lol.. and we had another 4 put in.. maybe 5

Thanks Pigpen. You have helped me a lot, We are going to get the cabinets from B & Q but are stuck about the doors as I want to paint them green and Harry wants wood. Have decided in the shaker style and I think I'll get my way on the painting except it seems rather an expensive way to go about it: buying wooden doors and then painting them,

The delivery times are a bit mad with B&Q. We waited 12 weeks for ours.. adn that apparently is usual!!! Though they did send us too many so we took them back and got £57 refunded!!! Sssshhhhh

Do you have any 'wood shops'?? Often they have loads of discontinued ranges from the bigger stores at a fraction of the price!! .. might be worth a look.. the caravan places always have loads as well but they were odd sizes.
