No.. you can't.. you'll need a nice home if you are hoping SS will allow GF to stay with you.. you can't have people thinking you live in a hovel!! Just do what you can!!
enters grumbling under breath "That Miss Pigpen! Nothing's good enough for her. Done all my flying to at least Level 1 this week & I still can't have a holiday while my friends are here from Scotland! grumble, grumble, moan, moan."
Hello, Pigpen, I shall fly with pleasure every day next week, to Level 3 and beyond! I don't think SS would even suggest GF moves in here because of her age. Her parents insisted she went home tonight, but she had her dinner here first, and they are letting her come to the airport with us tomorrow morning, and she can come out for a meal tomorrow evening for DS's 17th birthday - my baby's all grown up! She called a little while ago as she had forgotten something and she told DS that parents had both had a go at her as soon as we left. Oh dear! Hopefully SS will be contacting them soon and maybe with some counselling or mediation things will improve.
We (DH and I) have told her that she is welcome here when she turns 16, if that is what she wants to do, so in preparation for that (or any other extra bodies) I now have a cunning plan! It's a 5 bedroomed house, but effectively only 3, as one is a study and one is a den. I've decided to turn the sunlounge into a study, so I'm going to start on stripping the paper and decorating etc, then I can put in an extension cable for the phone/PC and move the PC and craft stuff in there. Once that is done, I can redecorate the 3rd bedroom upstairs and turn it back into a proper bedroom either for GF or anyone else! That will give us 4 bedrooms, and the den also has a sofa bed, so we'll have plenty of room for visitors.
Oh well, I'd better get ready for bed since I've to be up early to get to the airport.
Night all and sleep well.

Hi Mudbath, forgot to say I haven't done a lot of beading - yet, but that's beading wire and there are various thicknesses, but you can also use beading thread or elastic.
If DD is interested, ebay, the two sellers I said, are the cheapest, much better prices than Hobbycraft. Although postage may by £.99 or thereabouts, you might only pay 99p for 1500 Tibetan Silver daisy beads (like I did the other day), so well worth looking. Also, you can get divided boxes for her to separate the different colours, shapes or sizes of beads, which would help her. I would also encourage her to work on a tray till she becomes more dexterous. It'll save you a lot of hassle picking them up!DMP mutual support thread No: 433 - Mortgage - £54,556, Credit cards - £4012, Unsecured loan - £3,376, Other - £419

pinkfairy - if you do beading what is the wire called for this project http://www.craftideas.info/html/beaded_ring_b.html i keep finding all different ones and am not sure what to use...could i just use elastic? thankyou xx
Hi guys
Im huge into beading- started when I was getting ready to move from South Africa to the UK. I was doing my head in with the waiting and found it a stunning way to get my head quiet and start a project that I could finish quick-does wonders come pressie time too.
Mudbath, the best wire to use for this ring is called acculon, some call it tiger tail. Its flexible enough to get those little twists to stick. Otherwise you could get a 3mm wire which is not too tough to work if you have the right tools. You could also get a tipe of wire called memory wire which comes wrapped up in a big spiral, its normally used for chockers but recently they make smaller loops specifically for rings.0
