That would be YOURS!!!
JillD hope you all have a great time!
Oh yes, salt and cold water. We regularly have the blood issues with DS1s nose bleeds and that works for me, then I vax the mattress afterwards.
SNOW, lots of SNOW! We haven't had this much snow all winter. It's April and I've had to put the heating on. Pleased I forgot to get the summer duvet out last week so the winter one is still on.
DPs naffed off out, sort of behaving himself a little better. I forgot to get meat outooops so looks like spag bol for tea then :rotfl: will do a dinner tomorrow or something. His brother will no doubt be here wanting feeding aswell so will be easier. Betfair have added the £25 to my account, just had an email, just need to try to figure how to get it out of the account now
Cleaning wise, not done much so far, I did a gammon yeterday which I slightly burnt and the pan from it's a mess so that's soaking with some soda crystals in (yes I did try just sticking it in the DW first) Kitchens a bit of a tip, dining table been dumped on, sitting room is littered with cups etc so once I have done the banking, argued with betfair website etc etc I shall have to make a start...
One day I might be more organised...........

I am still ill. Very bored off this now - and the house is rather horrid as I have just done swish and swipes for a week. On the positive side I cheated and weighed myself last night, and I have now lost a stone in three weeks so thanks to everyone for the encouragement, and thanks to DS2 who gave me the delightful chest infection that is making me too ill to eat or stand up for more than 5 minutes.
Also cheers to G&B for the heads up on Betfair - won £29.75 plus got my £25 back, and the £50 quidco has tracked.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Afternoon all.
Daughter is not in any better a mood today so she's been banished to her room for the entire day except meal times (which are breakfast & tea today) and for her bath ready for school tomorrow. She threw another wobbler this morning when I suggested we could go to town and buy the fur material and beads for her bedroom to finish it then stormed off to her room and started chanting "Mummy doesn't deserve me" over and over :mad: Ex spoke to her at 11am and set her straight on a few things, including the fact she's just had £100 for her birthday just between us, not including the rest of the family! She seems to have been thinking and she's in a better mood now, but she's still staying banished. Currently she's sitting at her desk writing thank you notesShe has 2 thank you letters to write and then post tomorrow (family she won't get to see in person but sent her money for her birthday) so I'll help her do them properly when she's finished these notes.
We have just sat down and agreed a "wages" rewards scheme for her to earn the money to pay for a new desk from Argos (this one here so it will last her a while;)) as she's getting too big for her current one. I'm hoping it will help with the bad behaviour and attitude as she's been told she won't get any pocket money from me AT ALL unless she earns itWe worked out that if she only does her basics each week she can earn £1.40, extras earn 5p a time. It will take her about 71 weeks to earn the full amount if she only does basics so she's going to be encouraged to do extras every day
Plus I've said if she saves half of her other pocket money and any other money she gets then she will earn it quicker.
Then she can work on earning money for a chair to go with it, then other furniture. Obviously as she gets older and gets more chores she won't have to save for as long BUT the things she wants are going to get more expensive so hopefully it will even out. Plus it should teach her a thing or two about the value of money
:money:
Plan for today :- Dishes
- S&S kitchen
- Thank you letters - DD
- Change DD's bed (when I can be bothered getting the step ladder out shifting all the cuddly toys)
- Bath for DD (and hopefully me)
- Finances! :eek::o
- OU form for finances
:o:o:o
- Whatever else comes up!

nicki that desks lovely, would suggest a sheet of plastic or similar for the top, helps them last much longer
www.chartjungle.com has some charts you can edit where they can earn money for jobs (saves having to find change every day but helps the frequent recognition children need)
pigpen :rotfl: get the kids to help, wish we had something left to sell, nothing left worth having I don't think. I have a couple of ankinis left but they'll wait until the cheaper list day.One day I might be more organised...........

On the coast in Dorset- about a mile from the sea. We rarely, rarely, rarely get snow here. But it's all melted now and there's a nippy northerly. Pressure's slowly falling so maybe we'll get some more soon. Met Office has a warning out for heavy snow tomorrow as well.
The ebay item did sell to the person I thought I knew - and it was who I suspected. So, I've invoiced without postage and said I'll hand it over to him when we see each other at a meeting this week.
Been putting more stuff up on ebay today - but this is polishing the paper clips really in an attempt to avoid cleaning my bedroom!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

hiya
how is everyone. we didn't get in until 330 this morning so i'm shattered. didn't drink much so at least i've not got a hangover!
can anyone suggest ways to make my daughters sleepover for her birthday special. she's having her two best friends and they all get on really well. last year she had them over and they played on the trampoline, watched a dvd, i did their nails and they had pizza. they all loved it. this year we're having them from two in the afternoon so i'd like to have a bit more for them to do. maybe some craft projects where they can take home the results? budget of about £30 as that still makes it cheaper than a party. any ideas? xx0 -
Soappie, I've been to Dorset, stayed in a little place called Wool. Lovely place. Stayed above a tea room there, visiting an ex who was based down there, was lovely. Some 12 years or so ago now.
Mudbath how old are they? I know my friend's DDs sleep over they got her sister who works in a hair dressers/beauty studio to do their hair, make up etc which the girls loved. Of course that would need to be OKd with the girls parents. What about making something to make and keep, maybe a photo frame? They could then have photos taken at the sleep over with all of them on in it?One day I might be more organised...........

If you have a good printer how about getting some of those cheapy photo frames for them to decorate and take a pic of the 3 of them together and put it in.. or better still just make a card frame.. have little jewels and bits they can stick on.
They could make their own pizza this time?
how about a treasure hunt? .. get some bits and pieces and hide them around the house or garden if it is nice.. tiaras and wand and bouncy balls and notepads and sweets etc.. but get some paper bags which they can decorate first to put their treasures in
I don't have a hang over.. but it was nearly 6 before we got to 'sleep'..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
