She and the dog have been in and out like yo-yos all morning. Floor looks worse than it did before I mopped. Sometimes you really wonder why you bother.

Still have to play hunt the PE shoe ready for school on tuesday.

My floor is a state too but I was too lazy to wash it earlier. I has dried up here and the sun is out so I will hoover and wash it in a minute. Thanks for the reminder about shoes - DS1 needs to go to the golf club to find his school shoes and I need to check I have DS3 PE kit ready. OH can polish school shoes.

Need to find my list to re focus!

Serena - hope your DD has a fab time and that you don't fret too much

Pipgen - I find a bar of soap good for getting the first bit of the stain out.

    Blood stains
    1 tablespoon salt | 250 mL water
Tip mattress on its side and dab the stain with a clean cloth dipped in this solution till the stain disappears, then dry promptly with a hairdryer if possible.
    upholstery cleaner
Work up into a lather and treat stain with the lather only.

    Taken from : http://www.homeandgardening.co.uk/Bedshintstips.htm

only use cold water! hot will set/smear stain more.
