Also quick question about my beef stew. I have a tin of stewed steak in the cupboard. Could I add some stock to this and some veggies and cook it in the oven like a normal beef casserole?
I'd give it a go Rach. I'd stick in it on a low temp and not for that long (does that make sense?)0 -
Johanne - I was only 3 months pregnant when I was working in the theatre up ladders not due any day

My back hurtsMy arms hurt
The paint isn't going on evenly  I have painters cramp in my hands. I want to go back to bed but can't as I have to pick DD up in about 30 minutes. My kitchen looks like a bomb has gone off in it and I haven't the energy to tackle it.
Might teach DD how to wash up later, there's no glasses and only a couple of sharp knives which can be left to one side.
:rotfl:
I think I'm going to set an alarm on my phone for 9.30pm so I might actually get to bed and get some sleep tonight and warn my mates not to be texting me photos at 1am  :rotfl: Will go and put slowcooker on and add a couple of jacket spuds for tea to it., oh and some more gravy granules - DD complained last night that she wanted more ketchup on her tea to make it edible
Right, slowcooker.....:wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

No expert but I'd but the veggies in the stock and casserole as usual and then add the tin of stewed steak for the last 15 minutes or until the meat is hot. As it is already stewed I think it will disintegrate a bit if you casserole it for too long HTHThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Been for a nice walk to the local shops, is a lovely day, not too cold:D Managed to get all the bits and bobs for tonights dinner and tomorrow, kitchen all sparkly, just need to find hubby's suit trousers for the funeral, they probably need a wash and a quick iron. Right, best crack on;)The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

Does anyone's teenager(s) have a contract phone? DD has a PAYG which her Dad is supposed to top up. I'm topping up more and more often. I'm thinking it might be more cost effective to buy her a contract. She's a sensible lass and I could trust her not to run up £100s on it. What does everyone think?0
