Yeah Me and OH went 2 summers ago (were big kids can u tell?! lol) wasnt as good as it used to be though ... specially for the price!! used to be £10 per car years ago.. its now charged per person in the car!!! And it only takes about an hour if that to drive round!

We managed to make our way right through the monkey enclosure with the new car intact.. then the lion enclosure... (OH has a history of breaking down in there apparently!)... got to a "safe" area of the park and this HUGE male Eland (antelope thing) tried to climb onto the bonnet! Snapped the mirror on drivers side with its weight, licked right across the windscreen which was gross and at one point nearly put its horns through the windscreen whilst scratching the lovely black paintwork of the bonnet with its hooves! :rotfl: Was actually really scary.... :o and unlike in the lions etc... theres no bloody rangers to move the animal so we had to sit there and wait for this thing to leave us alone!!

I hope you tried squirting it with the windscreen wash and switched the wipers on to scare it.. and revved the engine to make its hooves hot!! lol

OMG!!!!! There is no way BF will take me there!! I dont think he'd risk his paintwork :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Chester it is!!!!

Yeah its a better day out anyway...!!!

Ooo just checked the prices for knowsley now too...
    Adults £12.00. Children/O.A.P.s £9.00
    Family ticket (2 adults & 2 children/O.A.P.s) £37.00

    Chester zoo is:
    Adult £14.95
    Children £10.95
    Family £49.50

MUCH better value as you get a full day out not an hours drive, much more to see and you can revisit the best bits as many times as you like! :):)

(my advice is take a packed lunch though.. food/drink/snack prices are rather high and there are plenty of picnic areas so you can sit and eat your MSE lunch! ;))

  • Hi all :)

I've always read this thread with interest but never participated because, well, I'm lazy, haha.

I've just hit 31 weeks pregnant and have got that incessant urge to tidy, but it's so incessant that I've been abandoning jobs half way through because I spot something else that needs doing! So I'll be jumping in this week, and hopefully getting to Level 3 on the kitchen today, plus the kiddies list for Beetroot (bump)

Hope everyone has a productive day :)
