My DD(14) shocks her friends when she proudly takes in a packed lunch which includes a home made bread roll.
I have ordered a "panny" which will not arrive for about two weeks so am using my Morphy Richards BM.
Might need to make another loaf as the one we bought today is not very fresh and will have to be used for toast!
DDs delighted with tonights meal - veg chow mein! Did not tell them I had some peppers and onion to use up , added leftover chopped chicken escalope, tin of sweetcorn, tin of mushrooms, garlic and lots of soy sauce - then combined with the noodles.
They ate every scrap and DD(14) who had asked for a small portion - then asked if there was any more?
Not sure if I should be pleased or upset that "a la leftovers" turn out better than slavishly following a recipe."This site is addictive!"

Always late, but always have a good reason. DD had a concert this afternoon and we didn’t get back until after 7pm. I had promised hm pizza, using angelnikki’s recipe for the first time as it was quicker than mine, then found out I had used the last of my white bread flour and didn’t think granary, seeded or wholemeal would do the job. Went to T express to get some.
Had a small glass of wine preparing it, another while eating it, and the next (only half) is sitting beside me now.
Took me ages then to catch up with the thread, computer is so slow tonight I think someone is stealing my bandwidth, then just as I was to press ‘submit’ I got the ‘IE has encountered a problem and needs to close’, so this should really have been almost an hour ago. I put it in word this time and don't know what size font to select, don't want to shout, or make it difficult for those of us whose age makes middle distance viewing difficult.
My favourite is also the elderflower episode. I was sitting in my car last week at lunch time and noticed an abundance of elderflowers hanging over the fence and wondered if I could get some. Apparently we used to be able to as the fence is quite recent, it was put up when they built a prison on the other side of it, so don’t think I will bother.
BTW, my BIL took his hamster to the vet with the same problem, BIL was embarrassed, hamster was rather boastful!
Visited South Wales a couple of times a long time ago armed with my wildflower book. Must try to get back sometime.
Keep up the good work and congratulations to the virtual family.
Zzzzz0
