And those liqorish whirls on the side - another of my faves! I love the aniseed things that are usually in the middle (i notice yours are missing shaz - but i suppose blue or pink inserts don't really go on tank wheels do they? lol! )MFW 2011 challenge - Aim: Overpay £414.26 a month/£5,000 a year. Well...that might just require a time machine;) - as we were born a couple of decades apart! I'll have to have a word with my mother - see what she can arrange in retrospect!:D0 -

hi again (sneaks out of ceridwen's cosy kitchen)....in response to shaz's question....
fave recipe = ISOM's dowerhouse chutney....haven't tried it yet as I'm waiting for Victoria plums to be in season but sounds absolutely lush!
what amazed me the most? the whole thing! Weezl's total commitment and genuinely educational approach to making sure it was a healthy challenge, not just a cheap challenge.
..........and in answer to Weezl's earlier question.....fave bit of the thread.....it HAS to be the elder flower foraging debacle......cow parsley cordial anyone?????:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

YES! I had that problem with the wrapper on Wham bars too! But I loves the way they made my tongue tingle!
I think its a real shame that the art of baking and cooking seems to be being lost. I have just spent most of today making two loaves of bread from this thread, bagels from this thread, fairy cakes whilst the oven was on (and to use up some eggs) and a salmon pasta bake (from another thread on this site). I had great fun doing it and my son came down to ask what the lovely smell was! My other son brought a friend in who was gobsmacked that I MADE bread! He didn't hesitate to dive into the iced fairy cakes though!! Not many of the mums I know bake or cook anything really - such a shame as its cheaper, healthier and entertaining. Oh yeah - I forgot to add - im a single mum who works and I still manage to fit it in! To be honest - it keeps me busy and out of the shops (but not the food shops!!)MFW 2011 challenge - Aim: Overpay £414.26 a month/£5,000 a year. Im sure tanks have headlights! I bet your son was dead proud that you had gone to so much trouble and hadn't just gone out and brought something ready made.
