BARGAINHUNTER! wrote: »I think if im really going to go with this bread making thing all the time im going to have to make two loaves a day. Im going to see how my sliced frozen loaf fares though. At the moment im only making a couple of loaves a week as a treat and falling back on the shop brought sliced stuff for speed and convenience (such a rush in the mornings to get myself ready for work, make 3 pack ups and get kids up and out and still get to work on time!)
I can relate to that, i have four to sort, since eldest moved out....if i didnt then it wouldn't get done:rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Thats an excellent idea about the old flour bags (goes off to retrieve old bag from the bin!) I tend to put cheese/ham/tuna/egg in my sarnies for work and I don't think these will freeze well. My plan is to remove the required number of slices from the freezer, eat my porridge (Asda smartprice - 59p for 1kg, made with whole milk that has been frozen, then defrosted and diluted with water) and then the bread should be defrosted enough to use for the sandwiches.
I did think about making some sort of drawstring bag for my bread out of an old tea towel in true MSE style!!MFW 2011 challenge - Aim: Overpay £414.26 a month/£5,000 a year. Overpayment Total to date: £414.26:jMortgage start 28/9/07 £46,217.00 :TMortgage balance as of 25/05/11 £24,490.58 :T

night night ceridwen! sleep tight!
BOB, the kerfuffle is over! it wasn't the hamster. Mr Weezl is peturbed by the sze of BOB's testicles. ISOM took him back to the pet shop to see if it was normal! They reckon so, but he needs a little wheelbarrow for them!

I'm afraid I'm off to bed too......I think I must be of that same "certain age" that Ceridwen is, I just can't take the pace any more!
Have a lovely, lovely, lovely rest of the evening, and I hope your heads are all OK in the morning.
Night night

HUH!.......I don't remember having any booze.....oh wait! Yep...one tinny.....ONE!!!
So how did we get from bread bags to Bobs testes?Told you I get easily komfussed:D
Glad you enjoyed the meal, & now ISOM can post the recipe so we can recreate the various bits for a communial knees-up a bit later in the year:p
Now the difficult bit....my favourites......errmmm:rolleyes:
Learning the true nutritional value of various components has been a real eye-opener for me. I had a bit of an idea, but I've been astounded by the content of our diet.
Recipe.... ...think it's going to be the pate once I get around to trying them. I only wish my lot were as adventurous as other peeps families appear to be, but I'm working on it;)
Favourite part is definately meeting all you good folk & being able to have FUN with food once more. Perhaps they should make Weezl & Acetate's blog compulsory reading on the school ciricula:D
So I'm off now to climb the wooden hill to Bedfordshire. Enjoy the rest of your evening folks, & let's do this again sometime soon.
