OOoo i have some lemon thyme, i may also add some bay leaves as my faithful little bush has produced some more this year. Cue groans and jokes!
so that is tea tonight.
Do you reckon if i buy some cheapo lemonade, i will have enough for drinkies tonight....must dig old stash of brandy out of cupboard.
No now is never too early to get ready, a girl has to prepare....remember the anti hamster repellant!Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Weezl has now started the preening- a bath at 2.30pm. No doubt though she will be back posting once out, she's never really been self-indulgent (hard to believe).
Looking forward to tonight. Weezl is a bit worried about the cocktails as she's not a big drinker. Let's see if ISOM can get her to the point of lying with her head on the toilet rim!:o
Looking forward to the virtual dancing: YMCA, Neil Diamond, maybe a bit of latino...who's up for joining me?‘If men define situations as real, they are real in their consequences' W.I. Thomas and D.S. Thomas.0 -
Nah Ceri ....it was the sausage roll you were snafflin that he had hie eye on:rotfl:
And now the secret is out of how Acetate has survived these past few months--he has his own supply to go foraging 'I put it down to my enormous Bush' :rotfl: :rotfl:
Hmmm....knew there was summat...but it would have to have been a veggie sausage roll - being as how I'm a "veggie". You know - I just had to remind myself what was usually the cause of it when I got "looks" in my younger days.....thinks....was I wearing a tight top that day or no? Hmmm..the memory fades as you get older you know...Yep...I think I was come to think of it;)

What do people think about a little game with just one rule for this eve?
Everyone watching contributes to a little record of how many people attended the virtual party, then we'll know exactly who popped in! All you have to do is just post saying 'I'm here, and this was my favourite moment/recipe/tip of the thread so far....'

aww lots of lurkers popping in! Hope they stay to party!!! Ok party venue update...have hoovered, flors drying, done the zoo (Bob tried to bite me...naughty bob! Mind you I didn just make him jump by slamming the lid of his temp home by mistake so cant blame him!). Bob has also had a wash & brush ready for the party, I will go & do me hair in a mo (too much greay me thinks!) and Poppy, Dotty & Macey will have a brush (I said BRUSH!) all ready for the do! Then theres the table to lay (wait for it!!) and bits & bobs before I go and tart myself up & get the honoured guests!
Weezl dont worry about the coctails! I've decided on an amendment & will whizz some ice (after the ever so tall Mr Weezl gets the funky machine down for me!) so that its not head blowingly strong!! Dont worry I wont do you damage...although cant promise no hangover! Cant believe youre having a bath at 2.30!! Nutter but lovely that youre so excited!
Well done on entering the challenge bob! I will do a mini challenge me thinks and try to live on what I have (barring milk etc) until payday which is on 20th! Ok must on...tarting up & remains of cleaning to do!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -

...and some might add to that description of me "placard-waving, bolshie, bigmouth......". Go on with yer...I fancy being a Crone you know...apparently its what woman of a certain age do you know....seeing all the positive sides of getting older and trying to pass on a bit of wisdom (wisdom - moi? what wisdom?) - well thats the theory. I've got one necessary element - a group of 20s/30s virtual friends - as well as those virtual friends a bit nearer to me in age....the other elements might be a bit conspicuous by their absence mind you?
But I do qualify as wacky I guess....so I've got the "kitchen" ready - you know the other room where party guests go and chat away from the main throng in the sitting room - a "post" up setting the scene and ready for comments about whats happening in the "sitting room" over on my home page (otherwise known as "me blog").
I'll start the ball rolling re favourite bit of thread - the opening post on this yur wacky thread by your goodself...where we first met the weezl brand of wackiness....:T0 -
Well as I've bored my OH rigid with regular updates of how much money you have left he has now set me a budget for groceries which in shockingly high in comparision to yours but I'll commit myself to £280 a month (that would see you through til next Easter!!! ). This is to cover food, cleaning products, toiletries and nappies etc for me, OH, DD1 (5) and DD2 (2). £70 a week should be piece of cake..... home made of course!
Congrats on seeing the challenge through and I shall be paying a lot more attention now to save my pennies. Maybe I missed it but do you have a menuplan somewhere with nutritional info and costings?
BOOK & BLOG ASAP PLEASE!!!!!!:j0 -
How we all doing?! Well the canapes are on the way, hair dye on, meat is marinading (even tough recipe doesent tell you to - thought it would be good to have a bit of infusion!) and am going to have a wee snooze after I was the dye off...should just be time! Weezl are you all scrubbed up!
umm fave post...too many for me I think but I think like C I like the first one cos it made me realise that there was another DFW nutter near me and I wondered if you could do it...now of course I know you can but the "yeah right, no way she'll do THAT" roped me in!! Curiosity didnt kill the cat but...!!!!
