Morning all! 3 days to go! And party tonight!

    ISOM it's very exciting!

Now then an explanatory note for anyone reading the above who's a bit perplexed.

Isom bought a hamster recently, and decided to name it after her good pal on MSE, BOB.

BOB has since seized the opportunity to tease ISOM about said hamster at whim! Especially she notes ways in which the hamster is resemblant of herself. Like the aversion to offal…;)

Now then, seems like more votes in favour of staying here for the party....

So here's what I'll do. Anyone who wants to click here, will be able to skip the party and get on with the recipes, geeky maths and nerdy numbers about nutrition... (I'll insert a linky later!) There, that's taken care of my little worry now!;)

Well, I’m thinking it might turn out like those tears before bedtime days I used to have as a little ‘un, having got all emotionally overwrought waiting for Santa, and then landed up sobbing into my pillow on Christmas eve… :D

Our outfits are ready: Mr Weezl has dusted off his Nehru with Indian embroidery and gold buttons.

    I will be sporting a floor-length, silver, bias-cut, halter-necked number.

Turquoise eye-shadow has been duly located. (I said to Mr Weezl, honestly love you don’t have to go to such efforts, but he’s such a dandy y’know!):D

Now then, for those who like a bit more of the detail about the food…

Today I will be batch cooking 4 loaves of bread from my remaining bag of flour.

2 loaves will then be filled with sage houmous as sarnies – just under 3p a sarnie 2.6p to be exact!
And the rest as bread for breakfast toast, less than 1p a slice…:money:

But before I go a’ baking, I thought I’d leave you with a little ode about tonight, with a little hidden message for Bunnykins:

There once were 3 wallies from wales
Who thought ‘tonight we will go off the rails!’
    ISOM did the cookin’
While her cats stood by: lookin
Then all 3 got quite smashed on cocktails…

Now those same said wallies from Wales
Having foraged for nettles and snails
    Want to prompt any lurkers,
    To contribute-the shirkers!
To the next episode of their tales;)

    Lots of love,

And look forward to seeing you tonight,

    Weezl x

hehe just back to THAT!! Smut I dont know...thought you were a good girl!! Mind you jam roly poly two times in two weeks is a bit much me thnks...and its not even your birthday!
Alas too late for (a) Blinis - done thanks to a recipe on the back of a fancy flour package! (b) testing cocktails! Not testing Weezl - creating!! I can confirm that The Weezl is yummy! May tone the vodka down a bit as knocked MY head off so yours would be off down the bay on its own!! Mind you that discovery lead to an inspired tweak and away you go...perfection in a cocktail glass! Just as well I tested as then realised I didnt have any ice so making that - it was complex, had to find ice tray in the cupboards under the sink...no mean feat!
Re party the more the merier me thinks BUT I think it should be on here...yup we'll go off topic but in my view this is "home" for us merry bunch and I think it should remain here...obviously its your thread weezl but I would (being honest!) feel weird being in the arms as never go there...thats quite deep I realise but I hope that the board guides would allow us a wee party in the circumstances? Anyone else get what I mean or am I the only odd one!!
Yup note the tip re the plums but my strawberry jam has a name for itseelf at the mo...someone I hardly know asked for a jar & also someone 3 floors up heard about it! How cool is that! Also means that I no longer have to "do a bob" and consider the oldest profession! Dotty cat just tasted the cocktail and seemed to like it! Purring happily on my left arm as I type!!
In terms of party preparations the food is almost done! Veg chopped, pots done, tart cases cooked but will finish tomorrow so really all I have to do is tidy, get the meat & tart myself up & have a snooze!! Puss cats have helped by getting under my feet in the kitchen and almost became the starter at one point!!

Oh boy...ISOM...errr...maybe I shouldnt have used that phrase....delete as applicable....somehows I'm just getting that impression that you wouldnt be a likely candidate for a nunnery ever...cant think why? Now - a monastery maybe :D

Seconding the thought that I'd like to see the "party" on this thread purlease...we'm all friends together by now on this Board (I don't wanna go play with the kids on the other side of the street:cool: - aka another Board).

Dear Bobbykins :hello:and any other lurkers, now then:naughty:, stern voice adopted, we most definately DEMAND THAT YOU COME! and no hiding quietly in a virtual corner!

As for dancing with acetate monkey, alas, no dear:eek:, I've been trying for a decade, and his somewhat syncopated sense of rhythm, extreme height and rangy limbs, puts all on the dance floor afeard for their very lives!!!! But you're welcome to try! At least if ISOM isn't dancin with him first!!!:grouphug:Look here's a picture of the party, poor Isom squished in a lurve sandwich with the 'pathetically grateful for a decent meal' weezls! Pray she gets out alive... ;)

    Weezl x

Well...I could try for the dancing with acetate monkey - I'm brave...I'll haul anyone onto a dance floor me....no shrinking violet is our ceridwen when she hears some music to dance to!!;) I'm a bit quiet in conversations (yep really! Bit shy I is!...whoops weezl...I think all your virtual guests just fainted at THAT thought...but give me a dance floor and the world is my oyster!). Right...now picture your dance partner and lets boogie...hmmm...well I was picturing Mr Weezl as tall...got that one right. Thinks....short dark-ish hair with bit of jaggedy-ish fringe, pronounced cheekbones, nice smile, intelligent-looking...am I getting just a teensy bit warm our Weezl?

EDIT: Just read the bit about Mr Weezl's jacket - cor...he sounds pretty fanciable our Weezl. Bet you've got good taste in men there....now I think I'd better go off and find some handcuffs for ISOM - LOL.

Poetry as well! Is there no end to your talents?

Followed every post, made some of the recipes, have bought stuff for many more, but difficult to persuade DH to try them and it is such a bind preparing different meals. He definitely is a meat eater and likes fresh veg with it, likes curries and chilli (as long as there is no veg in them except tomatoes, peppers and mushrooms. Kidney beans in chilli? or any other beans apart from baked? you must be joking:eek: .

Love to join the party tonight.

    Have fun everyone.

    Zzzzz

Goodness me girls...!! Now C I can honestly say that while I appear to be somewhat risque when it gets down to it I'm not - as an example someone winked at me the other day & I nearly died of shock!! Then wanted to run away but couldnt...its worried me ever since lol!! Also when listening to Chris Evans on radio two he was chatting to a girl who hadnt had a date for 7 years and was horrified...almost rang him & I said I havent had a date for 15 and have done well thank you very much...plus wouldnt remember what to do lol!!
Ok the pud is done and flat tidier so off to do animals and shopping as want to have time to chill this afternoon! Have no idea what coat you speak of Weezl but sure Mr Weezl will be as lovely as ever!! Tell him enormous poo talk is banned, esp when he ses the pudding!!!! Good to see that we will remain here - glad C that I'm not the only funny one who would feel odd elsewhere! Took me 2 years to find old style and did once pop into the arms but they all seemed a bit umm...scary...too quick witted for lil ole me & I wouldnt know what to say!
Love the ditty BTW!! Heres mine!

There was a young lady called Weeze
Who was really feeling the squeeze
So she could have her coffee
She convinced her poor old totty
That living on nowt would be a weeze!
Well shes only gone & done it
    With 19 p to spare!

So well done say the rest of us
    Cos never could we compare!
    So come on lets party,
I've blown the budget on drink!
We'll be dancing with Weezls then throw up in the sink!!

Well ISOM...I dont know about throwing up in the sink - can safely say that overdoing it has only cost me a bout of sickness once! Men winking...well I was a bit surprised during t'week to notice a man looking fixedly at me and licking his lips. Its been that many years...that I'd rather forgotten about all that.....these days I tend to assume I've "faded into the furniture" more. You know "the cloak of invisibility" that I've seen some women mention descends once one reaches "a certain age". I think I must have got used to the "cloak" by now......as I'm not even looking out to see if any men have noticed me as I walk along the street these days....I just take it that they arent any more:cool: Oh well.....'twas good while it lasted (errr....well...sometimes...maybe...why did I bother?);) :D

There was a fine gal - ceridwen
Who thought she'd sworn off from all men
But when one licked his lips,
At the sight of her ....hips
She knew she was back in the saddle again!
