Afternoon everybody :hello:
((((smoky)))) Thanks for postingCan't say anything that others haven't said already. It's good to know you're still there and getting through the day, no matter how hard it is at the moment. Hugs to the kids too.
And a big hug for ((((Benthosboy)))) as well.
Have joined in the grocery challenge for the new month, for the first time ever  Am trying to cut my usual expenditure in half, to have a storecupboardy using things up month...
Was having a lovely lie-in this morning until I got woken by a Jehovah's Witness ringing my doorbell  but had to get up anyway, as I had to get down to the One Stop Shop (council customer-service place) which shuts at 12, as my local council has decided that everybody in receipt of a single-occupier discount on their Council Tax has to re-declare that they qualify for it. By the end of this month. Or they have to start paying full whack. And as I don't trust the post, I wanted to deliver it in person.
Also loaded the Wally Trolley up with a big pile of cardboard that's been sitting in the middle of my living roomand took it to the recycling place, then went to Tesco for various things I had vouchers for
Penny-Pincher!! - I can well believe you didn't manage to hang onto the chickens. I've never known anywhere elsewith as many foxes as live round your way. When I lived round there I used to see five or six foxes most evenings just on the 15 minute walk home from the station.
Welcome Nicifer_noonoo :hello:
I am off to a concert this evening and am meeting up with a friend from another forum beforehand for a drink.
Must go and find something out of the freezer for lunch now as I'm starving!

Smoky, it's such early days yet. Your emotions will take ages to even begin to settle. You seem to be doing brilliantly, so just remember how much support there is for you and your family.Resolution:

Afternoon all,
Weather here is chilly and VERY grey - makes me want to snuggle up with a blanket and book (good weather for Little Women or anything Jane Austen!)
But am too busy to do anything like that.

Afternoon all!
Kyle and PP - hope you both feel better soon!
Thanks for the anniversary congrats! shez - not sure what the secret is but having a sense of humour helps!:D we've had many ups and downs over the 20 years including several bouts of serious illness but we've got through it all and we just enjoy each others company!
we were going to go out tonight but have decided to have a romantic night in ( both teenagers will be out hopefully;) ) with a curry and some of my HM bread and butter pud with fresh cream! no diet for me tonight!:D
Off for a browse now
Take care all xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Guess what? My house and car keys, which have been missing since Mpnday, turned up last night - on the bookshelves on the landing!! Poor DH had been back to the farm we visited on Monday and tramped up and down searching, we'd all practically taken the livingroom apart - and all the time there they were! Big relief all round!
Have done three loads of washing today - two dried outdoors, but looking very grey now, so on goes the TD I think. Also, supermarket shop done and some paperwork which has been on my to-do list all month is finally dealt with. And it's day one of the school holidays. Hurray!
Kyle, sorry to see you're still not better, take it easy if you can.Resolution:

Hello everyone!
I'm not new to MSE but I am to your daily thread so could I join please? I may not be able to post every day, is that ok?
I am married creeping up to 40 and seem to have a house full of animals! Got a DH and a SD no kids of my own. Oh and a very large debt which is the bane of my life! I never seem to have any time to myself but found an hour here today.
Best wishes

Afternoon guys
I feel knackered:o Had an early start today, I have done quite a bit.
Done mums shopping, drove 35 miles to her house, cleaned her house, drove to my lock up and unloaded my car then went to homebase whilst I was in there I had the car washed and hoovered, then been to cash and carry to stock up for OH, I must have driven 100 odd miles, I now have to do my housework but I have a stonking headache, the worst thing is I have run out of tea bags so I can't even relax with a cuppa tea:rolleyes:
Need to get myself organised for the morning as I will be leaving home at about 5am to collect mum:D :j :j I hope this head shifts, I think I have done it to myself, I seem to get a bad head when I have too much on, does anyone else get like that?
Redruby - some bargains in Bairds at the mo on free range meat might be worth a look:D
Take care all and hugs to those who want them or need them esp smokey and the little smoketts x0 -
