Morning folks,
Smokey - I can only echo what everyone else has said - just take things one day at a time, and don't be afraid to feel grief in whatever way you want to.
Kyle - Hope you feel better soon. That sounds nasty
2 days off work! Yaaaay! :j
I'm in a lot of pain for some reason at the moment - I have mega tension in my back and shoulders that I just can't get rid of, plus my arm is really aching around where my implant is - it has been doing so for the past couple of days. Might have to go and get it checked out.
Anyway, plans for today:
- Clean kitchen/utiliy/larder
- Clean bathroom
- Clean my car out
- Freezer/storecupboard inventory
- Meal plan for 2 weeks/a month....
Hope you all have a good day :beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -

Morning all,
Smoky...hugs, go easy on yourself, fully endorse what others have said, there is no 'correct' way of mourning, do what feels right for you, you are a strong lady but this is tough and will take time before you have a 'good' day...one day at a time is the way to go for you and your children and we are all here whenever we can help.
Jayward...there has to be some legislation to protect you if you can't work, same goes for your OH Valjk ...not familiar with UK legislation.
PenPin...sorry you are not feeling well to-day...you said that DD wants a new bra, so she is unlikely to suffer if she has to wait for you to be able to go with her...take care of you to-day.
Have made about 5 dozen or Twink's hobnobs...or rather a version of...decided to make double quantities, everything weighed and in bowl except for oatmeal, could only find 8 ozs so decided to use weetabix to make up rest...they turned out well, am going to ice some of them and dip some others in chocolate to vary them a bit as that is their lot here for the week...we don't need all that sweet stuff and I am not making anything else!
Wet/windy/sunny here to-day so will do very little outside, risotto for dinner and maybe some cleaning up of utility room...want to change shelves around when I can get hold of DS3 in a vacant minute...he never stops working and runs in and out to say hello and see if we are ok, wish he would take it a little easier, but not his way it seems.
Have a good day all, welcome to newbies and hugs to all in need or want.

Morning all!! :j
Well I've come down with some sort of lurgyNot sure what it is, started feeling weird last night, my face was aching, especially my cheek and nose (sounds weird I know lol) , then the ache started spreading over the rest of my body, like the ache you get when you have the flu. Went to bed but coudnt settle, aching soo much I couldn't get comfy, then getting the shivers then too hot, so haven't had much sleep. Up this morn still achy, and my nose and cheek are really sore, not too sure what to do about it, apart from take painkillers
We were meant to be going to the museum today to take the kids out, but what with me feeling ill and the weather not great, we've decided to stay in. So day on the sofa under my duvet for me!
Got an email yesterday saying I have won another comp, go from winning nothing, to having my first and second win within days of each other! First was for a hair dying kit the second 2 months supply of slimming formula. People won't recognise me, new hair and slimmer figure! :rotfl:
Im excited as the new Doctor Who series starts next saturday, me and the kids have been looking forward to it for ages, but then realised we aren't here next saturday, so are gonna miss it  Will have to record it i guess! David Tennant = :heart2:
Went out and brought something on a whim yesterday - just popped into a local petshop to take the kids in to look at the animals, ended up coming out with a hamster cage and hamster  Im such a pushover when it comes to animals and my kids wanting something  So we now have a new addition to the family.....Digger the hamster (DS4's choice of namelol)
Dinner tonight is hot dogs yum!
All for now, hugs to all, extra big hug for smoky

Morning all ooppps that should be afternoon. It was a.m. when I started to read yesterdays posts.
My thoughts as everyone elses are with Smokey, so many kind words have been writen and don't think I could add to them just reiterate. ((((Smokie))))
Have made split pea soup, some quiche and a fruit crumble to take to our DD's in Bath. I bought her a hard wood 9 piece patio set for easter, we have loaded it on the trailer then DH discovered the van is out of deisel, so he's jumped in the car and gone to the garage get some, so we are late in leaving. The food that was meant for lunch will now be for dinner. Men !!!
If I ran out of petrol I'de never hear the end of it.
Have just finished my 7th square and will start the next one as we drive to Bath about an hours trip.
Kindest thoughts to all in need of TLC.Hope you all have a good day.0 -

I've never ventured into this type of thread before. First time for everything
Anyone up to anything exciting today? Not much for me...I raided Asda's reduced section last night and came home with a great stash of bargains. All I need to do now is think of ways to use them all upI live on my own, til the baby comes in June anyway, so I always struggle with meal plans etc.
Ah well...hope everyone has a lovely day

Afternoon Guys!
Thanks for all the nice comments...you all always make me feel so much better....thank you:D
DD wouldnt be seen dead with her dad bra buying, but I have suggested we wait till we are away and there may be more choices..she seemed happy with that and we are going with friends, so I know if I cant take her-my friend can and DD feels comfortable with her.
OH & DD are in the kitchen making dough for pizzas this afternoon, but I think they need a few ingredients from Lidls for the toppings. We have ham, pineapple and mushrooms in but DD wants Pepperonni (sp) and we need some mozarella.
Shez-Our friends had the 2 chickens that were left as we had a serious fox problem here and 2 had already been killed. They are doing fine and are on a farm in Kent:D
Have had 2 invites for Pampered Chef parties which I enjoy, but the products are quite expensive. They do have a Saute lidded large pan for £85:eek:   but I have a 10% discount on top and it has a lifetime guarantee with it. We must have bought 5 frying pans since being married, but not sure of the quality....although they do look very sturdy. Has anyone used these items? We use these pans alot for saute spuds, bacon, sausages, eggs, onions, mince etc etc...so not sure if its worth investing in one
Its quite windy here this afternoon and keeps spitting. OH has just made bacon, mushroom and onion rolls so better go.
HUgs to all.
