OS Daily for Saturday 29th March 2008

icon1.gifOS Daily Saturday 29th March 08
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 28h March. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Good morning everyone - looks like I'm the first one today!

SMOKY - have just caught up with last night's thread. Please don't be too hard on yourself - you aren't meant to 'get a grip' with this right now. There will come a time when you do start to come to terms with your great loss but right now you are taking the tiniest of baby steps and taking each day at a time. Your children will give you great strength - you need them as much as they need you. Rest as much as you can, it's important, take any offers of help that come your way and don't forget, when you want shoulders to cry on, or when you feel despair or anger, we are all here for you. Much love to the children and to you.

Well, the cat's out of the bag and dear Smoky knows what the 'squares' thread has been planning! I hope the thought of it is bringing her comfort even now and the finished result will be amazing. Smoky - it is a labour of love.

The weather looks brighter today; well, at least at the moment. Yesterday it rained all morning then was lovely in the afternoon. Today's plan is to pop out to the village to get the paper and then I think I'll just mooch around for the day. I cleaned the house right through yesterday and just have some ironing to do and then I shall catch up with my knitting and crochet.

Off to have a shower so will see you all later.

KathyXX

As Martin has reminded us, don't forget to change the clocks tonight - an extra hour of daylight in the evenings! About time, too!

Morning Moiliere & all to follow,

I expect this is the one to post under as N9eav says' *typing*. :D Got home around 2pm this arv from town. Just put the groceries away now and got tea organised. I'm off to Mass soon and I have to leave here in about 20 mins. Got my wool today but just looked at Moiliere's tally  I can't believe how quickly it has grown. Or am I slow. :D

Smoky I'm sure you will be on a rollercoaster ride with emotions for quite some time. Don't be too hard on yourself. Thinking of you.

    MrsMix

Will pop back later when I have a bit more time. Hope you all have a lovely day and <hugs> to those feeling poorly. Byeeeeeeeeeeeee

Hi AUSSIE! N9EAVE has added to his thread now so I don't know which is the right one. No, you're not slow with the squares - the response has been phenomenal. I still can't quite believe it!

Morning Mioliere, Aussie, N9eav and all who follow,

It`s a bit nippy outside this morning i had to scrape the ice off the car but having said that it looks as if it`s going to be a nice day.

I hope it`s still nice later as i`m at w**k until fairly late this afternoon.

I`ve "done a bit" this morning with regards the bm and wm but everything else must wait until later, i`m planning a huge chilli for tea tonight and maybe left overs for Sunday too as the clocks change overnight and i`m on the early shift in the morning  so it will seem like i have less time to fit the chores in than usual.
I`m off to read the rest of yesterdays thread now so have a great day everyone, oh and  to Mumzy

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p
  • Hey honeys and hunks!!!!

Well the day has broken and its looking nice, undoubtably its start chucking it down now I've said that, but I saw the sunshine, Im happy!

I've also managed to put a washload on and open a bin liner in preperation of the massive tidying I have planned for the day, although I have saboutors (sp?) in the form of mother and oh who think I should relax, they're probably right...also thinking about making bread, I love making bread!

Smokey, remember always that our love is here for you whenever you need it and although I know it can never make up for what you've lost, I hope that you can take comfort in us. Grief is the hardest thing in the world, even when you think you might be kinda okay it collapses and you find yourself crying in supermarkets, but never feel that you should be 'getting over it' any faster then you are.

Hugs and loves to those in need/want...

    Morning All

(((Smokey))) havnt caught up with yesterdays thread yet but take care of yourself.

Up early as really want to get on with stuff today after yesterday, lots to sort out and the next year is definatly going to be tight financially. Our business needs as much cashflow as it can get and with OH facing losing his licence possibly for a couple of months & a very large fine its not looking good. But today I am forcing myself to be more positve and find ways to sort this out.

So today will be mainly in my office, was meant to be taking DD to town but that will have to wait till tomorrow. One thing I must do today is pop to the library.

So os things will be done by oh today - he is getting good at it though I may have to make chicken stock this evening as it may be a bit too much for him.

Best get on have a great day.

  • Hello all! Nice and sunny here at the moment although who knows how long it will last??

Huge Hugs to Smokey and her family.

More hugs to Hester, I hope you found your phone and DGS is OK.

Even more hugs to everyone else in need.

Not much planned today. DD is giving a dancing demo later on this afternoon and we've promised to go and watch. Both kids (ha!) are out tonight so it will be nice to have just OH and I here for a change, we might be naughty and slip out for a meal or see a film or something.

Going to put the BM on in a moment and I didn't get the ironing finished yesterday so that is calling my name, hooray.

    Have a good day everyone.

Smoky just wanted to send you one of your own hugs back, as your pictures have given us so much pleasure.

Today need to print some copies of emails off to send off, and after the alarm has it's annual check, off to take our friend out (weather permitting).

((((hugs)))) to those who are not A1, or coping with family members who are not, or would just like one. Pen-Pin - How are you doing today? Candy - did you get your rash checked out?

    Hi to everyone else.

    Morning all.

Hope everyone is as good as can be. The sadness and despair is upon me again and it's another "river of tears" day today so I'll keep out of the way for a while. I'm sorry to be so down but while there is so much in life that is good, there is so much sadness as well and to be honest, it's just breaking my heart wide open thinking about it. Sorry folks but I'm struggling again.

    Take care all.
