    Benthosboy - (((hugs))) to you

(((hugs))) to smoky, will catch up on the end of yesterdays thread in a minute.

I'm up at this ungodly hour on a saturday because DD is at a party at 10am and because OH and I ended up going out last night i didn't get chance to wash her hair and get her stuff sorted. The party is 30 mins drive away too, dont know why they're having it so far away but still  Its a bowling party, shes never been before so shes very excited :)

OH and I had a really long talk last night and i feel loads better about things now, my mind just gets away with me sometimes :o and all these hormones dont help!

Chilli wraps and curly fries tonight, DD will have bolognese from freezer and the fries. OH's mate is coming over to do something with bricks at the house so he might be stopping for his tea too - i like to have people to feed :D

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend, no doubt me with my goldfish memory will forget about the clocks and be out of sync until Tues at least :rotfl:

  • Morning all.... blue sky instead of rain today....

Smokey, and you as well Martyn - don't ever apologise for the way you feel during tough times. No-one can tell you how you "should" feel or what you should do.... People may have lost a loved one, or be going through a divorce, but each situation is different and everyone struggles with different things - nobody will ever feel exactly how YOU feel in your life. Sometimes it's the small unexpected things that can hurt the most...... nobody can take the pain away from you but we are all allowed to feel as down & miserable as we want, without having to feel guilty that we do. There are no time restrictions. When it's months down the line & everyone thinks you are "doing fine now", and you have days of despair, that's when we'll be here for you. And all the way through.

Just remember that you have friends here & support whenever you need a bit of a boost or to mentally remove yourself from everyday life & find a distraction. There is hope and there is a light at the end of that tunnel, no matter how small at the moment... but it is there. Keep going.

    ((((hugs)))))

will come back later when a bit more chatty.

  • Morning everyone, it's the weekend :j

Lots and lots of housework to do today

My Dad went into hospital (again) yesterday, this time though he is in for 2 weeks on IV to sort his lungs out - he has CF. When that's all taken care of he will be having surgery to reverse his bag and will be meeting with a specialist dietician to sort him out once and for all :T I can't tell you what a weight off my mind it is that someone has taken ownership of him and all his ailments.

Anyway back to OS - bread making, cake making and batch cooking also on the cards today.

Smoky - so glad you posted last night - you are constantly in my thoughts - don't beat yourself up you are *allowed* to be angry/upset/scared - we are all here for you whenever you need us

tired mum - you must be so excited about Venezuela - not long now ;)

    benthosboy - chin up chickie

Have a great day everyone (((((hugs)))))

    Morning All
The sun is shining and the rest of the household are still asleep and missing the best part of the day.
DH has worked as a conductor/guard on the railway for over 30 years and had his annual medical yesterday and for the first time ever failed! Apparently his hearing is not too good, so perhaps he has not been ignoring me! I am hoping that they find him another job within the company as there is no way he can afford to retire for at least another 5 years. (He is 55 and we have 3 primary school aged children).
We have to wait until Monday when he sees his manager to see what they have in store for him. I'm just hoping it is not a ploy to get rid of him as he is one of the oldest and certainly the longest serving member of staff in his depot.
Sorry for the whinge but am worried how we will manage if he loses his job as we live in the countryside and I don't drive so would find it hard to get to and from work.
    Take care all

  • Morning all,

WM, BM on trying to catch the good weather while it lasts to dry it all. Night out last night was great, enjoyed the lovely food. Rare treat going out for a meal so I made the most of it and feel like a roly poly this morning.

Smokey, you are amazing and you will all get through this

 and:grouphug: dodgy hugs to all. I always have good intentions of replying to as many as possible individually but never managed to remember or get enough time. So group hugs and waves to all. Gotta go, small persons just coming down the stairs for their brekkie.

Have a good day or at least the best day you can

Hi - SMOKY and MARTYN I can only echo what Squiggly has said; spoken from the heart.

TAPLADY - Happy Anniversary for yesterday!

Just sat here waiting for my hair to dry; I've put the ironing board up and will get that done when I've been to the village.

Sun still shining here but don't think its for long!

    Morning all

SMOKEy hugs to you, you will get through this.

HuGS to PEN PIN, BENTHOSBOY and anyone else who wants one, sorry haven't read the thread for the last couple of days.

It's dry and sunny here, off to hang the washing out in a mo. Will take DS out in a bit, am on a late today and if I don't he'll just be stuck in all day. Hate working at the weekend, really must think about another job. When I get home might make a start on my essay, see how tired I am.

    Have a good day all.
