    Morning all

Kitkat - I've used a normal ceramic dish before and it turns out fine.

    Hugs to all in need.

Not been posting as I really don't have a great deal to say at the moment.

Been making yogurt every other day since getting my maker.....made up my own sauce using a tin of strawberries whizzed up with a couple of spoons of jam to make it a bit thicker.....DD's cant get enough of it.

Made lasagne last night, was lovely to actually be able to make the pasta sheets to the size I needed for the dish....I'm loving my pasta machine :j .

DH worked from home yesterday so he could take DD1 to the dentist - I have such a phobia that I can't even walk in the door, I don't want it to rub off onto them, her milk teeth aren't coming out fast enough so they had to pull another one yesterday and she's back in 2 weeks for another to come out - she got herself in such a state - made me feel awful I couldn't be there for her (DH is wonderful with her, just one of those guilty mum feelings I suppose)

Off to town later so DH can have his hair cut and DD2 can get some new trainers - DD1 is off out with friends for the day and I offered to have them all back for tea tonight.......at the last count I think I'm making pizza for 9 kids......It will be fun here tonight!

Hope you all have a great day.

  • Morning all :)

I've never ventured into this type of thread before. First time for everything :)

Anyone up to anything exciting today? Not much for me...I raided Asda's reduced section last night and came home with a great stash of bargains. All I need to do now is think of ways to use them all up :) I live on my own, til the baby comes in June anyway, so I always struggle with meal plans etc.

Ah well...hope everyone has a lovely day :)

    Nic

Well today it is rain forecasted but i am hoping they mean this afternoon as i have loads of washing to do.(As always) I need to go shopping(Again!) so will do that this afternoon I hope. I have sold my car on Ebay, now got a much smaller one as i am sure that wasnt helping my back problem  and the person is coming to collect this afternoon. I hope he isnt a tyre kicker as I am not in the mood for that! We have still not had our takeaway so i might save that for today. I ended up making homemade pizzas yesterday and they came out very nice , even if i say so myself!:rotfl: .Not alot else to say except have a good day everyone. Might be back later, God willing. x

  • Hi Guys!!!:D

Welcome Nicifer nonoo, this is such a lovely friendly board, be warned -you will never want to leave!!!

((((((((Smoky)))))))))-just read your post from last night, please don't be so hard on yourself, as others have said far more eloquently than I can, you are dealing with such raw emotions at the moment, there can be no right and wrong way to feel-you just go with the flow for now and cuddle your children and friends a lot. We, your friends here, will be around, as you know, whenever you need to rant or cry or remember, and it may be easier to let off steam to us as we don't know you "in real life" (iykwim).

Just heard we may have got an allotment!!! Really ridiculously excited at the moment, so will check back later. Hugs to all who are in need or want. Chin up Martyn, or we may need to send "the girls" round!!!!

Good morning....it was bright and sunny here at chaos, but as I type, the clouds have moved in.
Smoky.....I have caught up with yesterdays thread, one day at a time and as a previous OS'er put it...to get up in a morning and make it through a day is a major achievement. Hugs to you and your children
Pen-Pin....Hope you start to feel a little better as the day goes on, would it possible for DD to go out with OH and buy a few bras then give you a fashion show later? Miss Twit (14) now gets all her underwear from Primark, I don't know if there is one near you, but they wear and wash well and lots of them look like M&S in the styles/designs.
BenthosBoy....chin up chuck, how are the pointy things doing? As long as you report in on here each day otherwise we'll have to send out a search party. :p
Catowen....good to see you back posting :kisses3: not long now till the tractor comp finishes...fingers crossed.
Hester....Hope DGD is ok and have you grilled about Katy about the phone?
Valjk....I hope everything works out for your husband :kisses3:
Mumzy...step away from those ciggies, I have sent you a PM :D
Kyle...hope you and the family are starting to recover...I need a blowing kisses smiley for this one.

    Hugs to those in need.

Casarina.....where are you, I hope you are still reading even though you haven't posted for a couple of days..we do miss your Grrrrrrsssss. :rotfl:

Not much planned for today, might nip into town and see what offers Boots have on, got a piece of salmon out the freezer for tea. No doubt Mr Twit will moan that he doesn't want salmon...tough...

    Morning all!

Meant to make notes as I read through so I could reply to everyone but DD's have 'borrowed' every pen in the house and all I could find was a crayon which was driving me mad so... this is as far as I got:

    (((Smoky)))

    PP
    - don't feel bad about not going bra shopping ... you sound like a fab Mum and you can only do what you can ... keeping yourself as well as poss is the most important thing you can do so don't be too hard on yourself
    Martyn - (((Hugs)))
Val - sorry to hear about your hubbies hearing .. my Dad has a similar problem and it took him ages to actually admit that there was a problem and see a professional. Fingers crossed they find him other employment
Dogrose - PM me if you want to scan and e-mail some pages over cos I touch type really quickly and quite enjoy it :p so wouldn't mind at all
Mummzy - you're doing better than me .. don't give up giving up :o ... I'm reading the Allen Carr book at the mo.
Catowen - missed your post ... but glad you're back :D ... please don't think that that's not a heartfelt comment .. you're part of the 'family' and have been posting regularly since way before I joined this thread

The washing pile is HUGE as is the ironing pile .. don't know when they crept up and got me but they WILL be demolished today :D WM is on 2nd load and DW is on - don't usually use it :o but it made me feel a lot better just chucking everything in. DD's were up before me ... I didn't wake up until 8.30 by which time they had helped themselves to 2 easter eggs each and demolished the clean and tidy house that was  They were both absolute sweeties though and when I pointed it out did a great job tidying up.

Need to go shopping for potatoes, fruit, veg, butter, sugar and milk and put petrol in car.

There was a beautiful blue sky when I woke up but the clouds have come already and it looks quite windy as well.

We adopted a cat .. which the neighbours had told me had been abandoned when another neighbour had moved out. Anyway, we've been looking after her since November and she's really become like part of the family, but she's been claimed by a lady who lives a bit further down the street. She was quite cross that we'd been feeding her cat  I explained that we thought she was a stray and I think she's ok now but the short of it is we're now catless :(

After we've done the shopping (if it's not raining yet ) we'll go for a brisk walk to get rid of the cobwebs :p, and then start on the house work. Lunch is fish in butter sauce, chips and peas and tea tonight is pancakes. Oooooh I've just added mince to my shopping list cos I want to do the 'how many things can you make from 500g mince challenge'.

Well ... that's enough waffling from me :D ... will try and catch up later but don't usually make it :o Hope everyone has a great day :j

    Luv xx

Edited to add: Kyle - (((HUGS))) hope you feel better soon and (((Hugs))) to anyone I've missed and anyone who wants/needs them xx
