    Hello everyone!!

    Hope everyone is good?

I think i have just had the nicest meal ever.........

    My mouth wont stop watering.......

I normally go for a rump steak on a saturday night but they all looked a bit ropey so had rib eye - mmmmm beautiull.

With pan fried mushrooms and tomatoes, jacket potato with coleslaw and the finest salad i ever made!!

It was that good i could eat it all again now!!!

Rib Eye steak is good! I like it rare, with HM "fat fries" (obese chips) and a nice side salad, mushrooms of course!

Can't afford it though - unless RTC :rotfl:

For tonights menu we had SC Stew and BM bread.
  • Hello 1 Step closer :):):) Welcome to the board!

I ended up going to Asda whilst DD was at the party and have treated myself to a stock pot :D Have always wanted one, at the moment if i make big batches of stuff i have to use 2 pans but now i can do it all in one :j Theres a huge batch of chilli simmering in it at the moment. I couldn't wait to show OH when i got back but he just didn't 'get' it  Failed to see how anyone could get excited about a pan lol

This is SO familiar :rotfl: only I asked for my stock pot for my birthday. OH almost choked but he bought it for me, just gave me very odd looks. But I love it, I use it lots especially for stock/soup making! Enjoy yours.

Well, the thought of coming home after a long day in the rain and cold and whatnot, to a nice warm stew ready to eat, was too much to resist. That, and the fact that I can use cheaper cuts of meat which are tastier anyway. And, it's not expensive to run, so...;)
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.

Anniestar...you'd better come before I leave to be introduced to the 5 year old boss and his mother ( he is only boss while I am away you understand)! Do not bring OH with you please as we have an OH exactly like him already and one is enough...after 38 years I seem to have made very little headway with improving him so have given up!

Welcome newbies missed out earlier ( I was on earlier wasn't I ?).

Finishing yet another sweater for Aoife, they go back to the UK on 7th and the house will be very much quieter...will miss them as they have been here since 20th December.

DS2 off to visit elder nephew in Los Angelos tomorrow, foolishly offered to take him to airport so we are leaving at 7.30...if you take into account time change it means that it will feel like 6.30! He has a week between job changes so what else would he do except head for the US...he must almost own an airline with all the travelling he does although I think that new job will not involve as much travel. Nephew is a helicopter pilot so DS has been warned to take as little luggage as possible as he is being picked up in LAX in a very small chopper...the excitement, wish he would come home and take me up, have never been in a helicopter!

    Have a nice evening all

I use mine - see previous and the Jamie Challenge for recipe :D Although, I have to admit, I am too nervous to use it on a workday - I feel I am out too long

You are probably right - it's only good if you know where the meat has come from

My DD1 & DD2 were playing at a friends house this pm so me and hubby decided to go to a pub or for a drink and a cake at a cafe...

we talked about where to go as we were driving round...do you know where we went?.....we went to sainsburys and bought an economy pack of chocolate digestives and went home and had a hot chocolate (hubby had a cup of tea) and we 'dunked' our biscuits watching 'rubbish' sat pm TV....it was bliss and a lot less money

(I know bought biscuits are not home made but it was so nice).
