DD(14) back from orthodontist with very fetching purple braces.
Have just put veg for a cauliflower and broccoli soup in the slow cooker and might make chicken korma for anyone who does not want the soup.
Might just manage to catch the library to take books back if I dash off now.
See you later."This site is addictive!"

Just came back so not had time to scan through pages properly; cheers Aussie Lass; that sounds about it. I'll post the one I've got just cos the measurements aren't in cups, lol!! But it's the same thing..
16oz / 450g SR flour, 8fl oz/250ml each of NON-diet lemonade & double cream. Preheat oven to 220c.
Sift flour into a bowl (I usually just chuck it straight in). Mix lemonade & cream together in a jug, then add to flour & gently stir in until just mixed. Turn out onto a floured surface, roll out & cut as many as you can get! Bake on a greased baking tray for 12-15 mins. That's it.
These are lovely & light, although probably need to be eaten quite quickly (oh what a shame.....) as they don't last more than a day or so. I really seriously thought it was a wind-up when I first came across this recipe, but they are gorgeous
Happy making/eating... My breadmaker has just beeped & my herby granary loaf is done & as my stomach is rumbling I will go & eat. I am also now looking at a large selection of cardboard boxes from Ikea that I will need to spend the next 3 weeks assembling....Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)

Squiggly, would the lemonade you use for this be the yellow lemony sort or the standard synthetic clear sort? Or doesn't it matter?
They sound lovely!

Hi mumzyof2, think I missed you on the giving up smoking thread. I know how you feel. I am bored ridged today and cant be bothered doing anything even though I have a big long list of stuff to do. I think it must have something to do with us giving up smoking. But hang on in there, I am sure it will get better and we will go back to feeling normal sometime soon, x
