OS Daily FRIDAY 28th March 08

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 28h March. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning.

Well as predicted it's raining here. I need a dry day for outside jobs and it's raining. My weekend off and it's raining. I guess I am starting to get a bit p'd off about it. I have a pile of wood ready for sawing and making into greenhouse shelving. I have chickens to clean out, wood to chop, gargden to dig.... and it's raining.

Anyway we have friends over tonight for a meal, still not sure what to cook, but I am sure I will rustle up something. I will be ferrying kids about this morning to their respective jobs, a little shopping and then cooking. So I can fill the day up. I also borrowed a VAX carpet cleaners, so may give the carpets a wash.

Cheers folks have a nice day

Morning N9eav and all who follow

Thanks you saved me a job as I was just about to start the thread.:rotfl: :rotfl:

Crazy couple of days in the offing now, today off to town, home, go and see Dad, and then off to Hull to see friends for the evening, eating at their local carvery.

Tomorrow, collecting one of my best friends, who is blind and taking her out for the day for her birthday next week. She would like to go and see Beverley Minster, she had fancied a walk on the Pennines, but the weather forecast has put a damp squid on that. Raining here now and forecast for the weekend too.

Must get some more scanning/filing/sorting done for an hour now before DH gets up, I've treat him this morning and taken him a cuppa.

Anniestar - that was a lovely post last night, how are the shingles going?
Amie - Hugs to your OH.
C-C - well done on your bread, my butterless spicy fruit loaf was fine too. If it goes dry will just have to make it into a JamieO B&B pudding - got any marmalade?:rotfl:

    ((((hugs)))) to all

    Morning everyone

Well, it's raining here too, but will hopefully ease off as we are going to a Tudor House today, and their gardens are supposed to be really beautiful, with all things growing that would have been found in Tudor times.

I need to sort out an online shop at some point this weekend, as stocks are running very low, and I'm going to pop into Holland & Barratts to pick up some of their natural cramp remedy - it's been driving me insane for a good few nights now.

Apart from that, not much on today, just a quick tidy up as DDs have been helping out lately. Not sure what's for tea tonight, but will sort that before we go out.

Fingers crossed, the rain will keep off.

:grouphug:HUGS :grouphug: to all who need or want one.

    Hello everyone,

It's raining here too.:D Filling up our tank as I type. Had a lovely Ninny day today. He has just gone home now clad in raincoat, gumboots, umbrella and a big smile. Don't they love to splish, splash. I stayed up till silly hour last night reading. DD gave me My Sisters Keeper by Jodi Picoult to read. Once I start a book I have to read it all. Tired now ;) but the book was a good read.

Off to the mainland tomorrow morning to get some supplies. More wool especially. I've run out Catz. :D DH has to have his flu shot. I'll give that a miss.

Annie I'm glad Father T put your mind at ease last night. They do seem to say the right things don't they.
    Smoky <hugs>

Tea tonight is Salmon A La King. :rotfl:Blast from the past. It should be Tuna but I refuse to buy Tuna. It's all from Thailand. I'd rather eat Salmon from here, USA or Canada. I always pedantic with where it all comes from. ;) Hope you all have a lovely day. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning all.

Didnt get to post yesterday, as my friend (who left her husband not long ago) has finally got keys to her new house, so was there most of the day helping her clean up. Today will be much of the same, have all the things crazychick gave me for her to take up, plus going to collect a dressing table and bedside tables and tv for her too.

Im ment to be in school later to read to the children but may have to cancel this week, have so much to do, not getting anything done at home due to helping my friend out, but its worth it as she is so happy.

    Take care everyone

    morning

been such a long night, well after ds2 was ill, lo woke screaming at about 8, gave him medicine as he felt a bit hot, he was still crying but seemed to settle again, but at 10 he said his tummy was sore then was sick over most of his bed, pillows, covers etc!

so took him into my bed all night, he was then sick again through the night, so changed covers and went back to sleep.

Now i have the sickness bug, feel awful and dh is on nights so will just have to grin and bear it

no os today, will keep the kids off today as they arent quite right yet either, must be a bug doing the rounds at school again!

    smokey - hugs

    hugs to everyone else to
