    Morning folks,

Off to work in a minute so not much going on. Just time to make some lunch and will do some prep for tonights tea (pasta bake with leeks and sausages)

I have the option of a second hand laptop for £100, but I think it needs a new battery, so will be super cheeky and try and get it for £75.

Mumzy - How are you doing with the quitting smoking - Dlb just gave up as well, although to be honest I really don't know how she is getting on with it now.

Sorry I haven't been around to read the thread very much over the past few days, will try and catch up over the next few days. Need to get back on the grocery bandwagon as well - can't seem to stay on it for more than 5 minutes! So that will be Sundays task, meal planning, shopping list etc.

Hope you all have a good day
Im doing great with the no smoking will be 3 days at 5.45pm :rotfl: Its a doddle to be honest i dont have cravings as such just thoughts of I will just go for a cig..then realise i have none, all my money ive saved each day is going into a savings account ;)

  • Morning Guys!

Very wet and windy here this morning.

WM & DW are both on ATM. The cleaner has changed days to a Friday now but doesnt come till lunchtime. Its the 1st time this week so will see how it goes.

OH has tidied out the laundry room and we found a sock that had been washed and fell behind the wash bin, so that must have been the smell I said about the other day.

Have friends round for dinner on Sunday but am going to make a Lamb Stew with dumplings in the SC as its easier than a full roast for 7 people. May also make some mash to pad it out abit. Sainsburys had a 750g of FR diced stewing lamb for £4.09 which I didnt think was too bad:confused: and should be plenty for us lot.

Need to have some breakfast and another coffee.

Hugs to all, especially Smokey & Family.

    Morning Everyone

    Thinking of you Smoky.

Kyle please don't send that bug south it doesnt sound very pleasant.

((Hugs)) to everyone else who needs them.

I feel very cottonwoolly today I know I've got loads to do but can't get the motivation going the WM is not even on yet. DD has been a madam since the minute she woke up, she has a attitude of a stroppy teenager.

Plans for the day are to get the house clean and tidy and then go to Mr T's for inspiration for tea. I'm getting quiet sick of having no cooker now and its going to be afew weeks yet before I have a working kitchen. I am desperate for a HM pizza.

    Have a good day everyone

    Morning all
Martyn - apart from me the only other knitter in my family is my brother and he's brilliant. he can do fair isle and all sorts that just defeat me.

    Mumzy - well done you with the smoking :T :T :T :T

Well an unexpected but very welcome day off w*rk as dd is off. it's worked out quite well really as we are off to sunningdale for the weekend tonight - thanks to the de vere offer that was on martin's email. It's only up the road really but will make a lovely break for us. We are taking the bikes and will have a mooch around windsor and then will probably head up to Reading (Hester Country) on Sunday before coming home. dd is ok as long as she has painkillers as she is not feverish but the school won't let her take them. Just going to have a mega tidy, sort out the spare room for dd22 who is moving back tonight, pack and then we're offski - yay! If I rmember I will take some wool and needles and start some squares - will just head off to the thread to recap on the "rules"

    Have a good day

hugs to smokey - hope you're ok

    Good Morning All

I sooooooo over slept this morning, 8.40am  so apologies for not reading all the thread. Luckily OH was here to take DD to school.

DG - Ive got no excuses now, not to use BM again. I know it can be done! And its about time that marmalade got used up too! Thanks.

I hope it stays dry (weather) for me later. Off to the crem after work, put some flowers down for Nanna, she dies 3yrs ago today, I still miss her like mad!

    Take care all

hugs to smokey and children - i hope yesterday went as well as it could. just take it one day at a time from here on in and remember to give yorself and the children time to heal.

raining here so wont bother with the WM today, if it still persisting tomorrow ill do a load of socks and undies to dry on the rads.
pipkin i hope you have a lovley time at the tudor house, it will be a shame if you cant get outdoors to see the gardens, i got into tudor history after reading the other boleyn girl and now have a passion for phillippa gregory books. have you read earthly joy and virgin earth? they are about john tradescant who was a gardener and collector the ashmolean collection at the science museum is mostly down to him but a 'friend' called ashmole conned him out of it all. its a great read if you like history and gardening.

aussielass, i dont think my mum will be tounching anything from thailand again she was telling me at ther weekend she had a tin of mackerel from their and it had a big beatle in it she said it looked like a giant silver fish but was rock hard- she found if ATfER she'd put it in her mouth:eek: its with environmental health now they are trying to decide what it is.

kyle i hope you and the little ones feel better soon

charlies mum your sister souds like mine she had my copy of the da vinci code for a year but gave it back unread as she couldnt get into it either, i loved reading that (havent bothered with the film yet)

got the gun holsters made yesterday for DDs fancy dress shes going as lara croft her BF is going as rambo:rotfl:

DS is supposed to be going for a mooch round the shops with his GF but i bet they end up spending the afternoon here as its raining.

got all the rubbish and recycling out and retrieved some off the local park that had bolwn all over in the night (not mine) but if someone dint bring it in it would be their for ages.

planning hm veggie lasagne for tea but havent thought about dinner yet, will do my shop at tesco tomorrow as i have some vouchers to use and a couple of bags of recycling to drop of.

also got to plan youngest DS birthday cake for next week he likes ben10 so i might make an omnitrix style cake (i saw black icing in the local cake supplies shop and i can never make that properly without it looking grey).
might give a the bathroom a blitz if i get time and do some baking with the kids as they are still off here for another week. i got a box of maltesers for easter and ive got a recipe from an old prima mag for a sponge cake you sink maltesters in before you cook it, tastes brill but DD wnt eat it as its not vegan (more for us then;) ) and i need to do some more knitting and crossstitsh over the weekend

ill stop waffling now and do something:T

i hope everyones day has something good in it
