Hello everyone i hope you are well.
Hugs to smokey and her family. Smokey,I hope you read these threads one day and draw comfort from them.
Today i have gone from posting at 3-30am to being very late!! My back is still playing up but i have managed to hoover, put the washing on and dishwasher too.I made a mistake and left washing on the line so that is dripping as we speak:o I am obsessed with the shabby chic thread, although my kitchen is more shabby than chic
I do need to declutter but then i always need to declutter:rotfl: Not doing much today and i might get a takeaway as our local chippy does loads of meals for a pound each.Have a good afternoon everyone. “Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. Your really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.” Lucille Ball.0 -
Afternoon all.
Ashamed to say I'm still in my dressing gown.
Still suffering from the dratted abscess. Hoping to be back at work next week, as it has started to go down, finally! Still waking up a few times in the night for pain relief though. Am going up to my parents for a couple of nights to see if I sleep better. (because of the swelling I can't get my ear plugs in properly, and DH snores very loudly...)
The state of the house has been getting me down too. I haven't been able to get anything done around here, and DH is so busy trying to get the allotment straightened up that he seems to have given up on the house. Not best pleased.
Ah well, suppose I'd better go get dressed.
Hugs to anyone who wants or needs them.
MethererNot heavily in debt, but still trying to sort things out.

Afternoon all - just grabbed a sandwich before out for the next trip.
Jayward - (((hugs))) - if they are finishing you as you cannot do your job, how can they say it is no ill health retirement? beats me!
Candy - go and get your rash checked out today, the sooner your get treatment for shingles the better - I know I have had them on my face twice, and it it gets on your eyelids (ouch!!). Don't touch it if you can manage not to and find out what it is! Mam has spoken. Anniestar - how are you going on with yours?
I think I am going to have to give up this thread, it's no good to me. You keep talking about food and then I want to eat!
Right must fly.

Afternoon all

(((hugs))) to anyone who needs them today
Managed to get a better nights sleep (maybe because i was scrubbing the kitchen floor at 11pm last night and it tired me out lol) though DD has been up since 5.30am, thank god shes older now and can amuse herself in her bedroom with her dolls until a more human hour of the day! I'm getting all the sleep i can now before Baby T makes his appearence
OH back from Glasgow and has gone straight up to the new house, his dads there today and also the plumber doing something with radiators and pipes
Its all beyond me, i'm just waiting until we get to the curtains and cushions stage
The house is lovely and tidy at the moment but with OH and DD home all weekend it wont stay that way for long, luckily OH wouldn't notice if the kitchen floor was clean or was covered in an inch of grime - if he noticed i'd cleaned it i'd only get told off lol
Spaghetti Carbonara and garlic bread for tea, treated myself to a nice bottle of alcohol free wine today at Asda so i'll settle down for a nice, chilled glass when DD's in bed and kid myself that it really does have alcohol in it! :rotfl:
Take care all

:hello: Hello!
(((hugs)))) to Smokey, Jayward, Kyle, PP and anyone else who could use one
Mrs Mix - I envy you that primark, we have to go to lakeside for our bargains.
Aussie - Stock up well! You have some catching up to do! I now have some knitting upstairs and some downstairs!

Catowen - I really am going to have to go buy some marshmallows as that hot choc drink sounds yummy and just what I could use right now. I am tucked up in bed trying to get warm after being caught in all that rain.
I spent the morning with my friend now she is home, I sat and knitted and made cuppas and listened, I do hope she knows she is loved, so hard to believe we nearly lost her! I am going to be a much better friend from now on.
Tonight ds, dd and ds's lovely gf are coming down to see us and to cook us a meal! :j all I have to supply is the wine, we have plenty left from Christmas so no problem there!
Mr Catz:cool: (he wears his sunglasses a lot at the moment) can now smile a bit more and his eye is a lot better, still numb around the nose and I am encouraging him to pull funny faces in the mirror (physio) He is still very very tired though so we will be back to the docs on monday as there is no way he could cope with being back at work just yet.
Catz xOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Lilmisskitkat - did you hear anymore after your crash the other day? I hope you and jellybean are ok!
Hiya, thanks for asking
OH rang the police again (he put his authoritive phone voice on lol) who decided it was something to do with them after all as she drove off, so they came round to see me, took all the details and i explained what happened. They sent an officer round and she was warned about her driving so hopefully she'll think twice before being so careless again. As i explained to the officer, if she couldn't see a great big Mondeo behind her she'd never be able to see a child  . Thats all they can do apparantly as it wasn't a serious accident.
OH sorting out with insurance about getting the front sorted, its scratched rather than bashed but it still looks bad.
Glad your enjoying your day off

:hello: to catowen.
Managed to catch the library before it closed and got a couple of books I fancy reading later.
My new book by Kelley Armstrong has just arrived this morning from play.com (well with free postage and a price reduction its moneysaving - honest!)
My keyboard is driving me mad- it either misses out odd letters or suddenly repeats one letter seven times!!!!
Hope to finish knitting my second square for smokey later today.
Wonder how Martyn is getting on with the "pointy things!";)
I got wet while shopping so having a nice cup of tea while I browse on here.
Bliss!"This site is addictive!"
