I made bread rolls for the first time today using my BM to make the dough, they turned out very nice, even DS liked them which is a bonus cause he will be having them in his packed lunches!!

Am sat here with a bottle of beer on one side and a packet of choc fingers on the other! Cheers to Eric may he RIP. (Sorry if people think that is inappropriate??)

Why is there nothing on the tv on a Fri night (or any other night come to think of it!!)

Have a good evening one and all, hope those who are poorly feel better soon.

pipkin i hope you have a lovley time at the tudor house, it will be a shame if you cant get outdoors to see the gardens, i got into tudor history after reading the other boleyn girl and now have a passion for phillippa gregory books. have you read earthly joy and virgin earth? they are about john tradescant who was a gardener and collector the ashmolean collection at the science museum is mostly down to him but a 'friend' called ashmole conned him out of it all. its a great read if you like history and gardening.

We had a fantastic day today mrs-moneypenny.

I have to say, before I took DDs out of school, I had no interest in history - I hated the subject when I was at school, so I was surprised that DDs have always enjoyed it.

Now they are out of school, I have to facilitate their learning, and that included their love of history. To my surprise, I have found a real pleasure in learning about history now - especially the Tudor period.

We will be going to another Tudor house in a couple of weeks, and soon the girls will be taking part in a Tudor living experience, where they will get to dress, speak, eat as Tudors - whether that's servants or gentry. They are looking forward to that.

Thanks for the info on the books, I shall definitely look into them.

    Pipkin xxxx

Sending (((hugs))) to you and yours, HESTER.

SMOKY - thinking about you and the LOs.

Well, I've just had a lovely bath and now I'm sat here in my dressing gown and starting to feel relaxed. I'm going to watch Dirty Sexy Money which was so good last week and[strike]doze off[strike] do a bit of knitting. If I can stay awake I hope to complete square three tonight.

Anyway, have a good night everyone. See you tomorrow!

My trying to strike a line through 'doze off' didn't work. Don't know why.
