Hi Mrs Lady,
How did it go with the CCCs?
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
The CCCS lady was wonderful. My payments will be £100 per month which is less than I had imagined. More importantly , I never felt judged, and she gave me some good advice. She said the best thing I ever could have done was to come clean to husband and the worst is over. I was worried about Provident, and last night the man came to collect. Well, I gave him half of my normal payment 'to show willing' (as advised) and was about to explain about my DMP, but he made quite a lecherous remark about taking the rest of the money from my body! Wasn't sure I had heard him right at first, so said bye and closed the door. When I told husband he was (even more) angry. Oddly, even though debts are all out in the open, I still can't sleep and feel quite low today. Maybe its the tiredness and having three screaming children but has anyone else felt like this? Or maybe its exhaustion from all the stress!life should be about wanting what you have, not having what you want...0

Hi Mrs Lady
Glad it all went well with the CCCS. I imagine you are feeling so exhausted now as you have been through so much, and probably the relief of telling your husband and being able to find a resolution to this problem is quite overwhelming.
I'm sure you will feel better in a few days time and you are now on the road to being debt free.
Well done :TLong haulers supporters DFW #109NR Loan #1 - £2951.18 Nov 08/0 -
Hi Mrs Lady
Well done, it is the stress of what you have been through, i understand totally where you are coming from. The worst is over, you are on the road to freedom, so to speak, so try and relax and do something with the kids to get you and your husband back to some kind of family routine.
Kids are so funny at times, we forget they can make us laugh and forget our troubles, borrow a funny dvd and have a fun night in and just laugh, your stress will be released i assure you.
Have a good day Ciao MAZSealed Pot Challenge member 1525

I suspect you wont do this, but I would seriously get onto this man's bosses about him and his remarks. Public apathy is what lets gits like this away with their unpleasant ways.
I have visions of him doing the same to some really young, immature girl who is in over her head with what she owes ...........
Anyway, I'm glad you have got things a bit straighter now and you and your OH are more together about it all.
Good luck for the future, I hope it goes well for you from here onwards.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Personally I would put a formal complaint in about the Provident collector that was well out of order. Well done on getting things in order and a plan to deal with the debt. Just think you have halved your debt already lol!:j0

Hi Mrs Lady...well done...really pleased you're making progress. The remark from the Provident guy could do with reporting as it is way out of order. I appreciate that you don't really want to get involved but he should be disciplined for that. It's totally unacceptable.
Ultimately though, health and happiness can't be bought....money helps but I'd give everything I had if my kids were sick..they're in a different league. For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 20070 -
I, too, echo what others have said. The Provident man was definitely out of order and needs to be reported.0

re the complaint...others typed what I was typing at the same which is spooky but encouraging in sad kind of way.
The lowlife needs kicking out of his job...then we'll see who's smirking.....I don't know much about these schemes. Is there any way you can deal with the head office and report him at the same time? For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 20070
