Mrs Lady, I've been following your story with interest. Its such a relief to be able to get this sort of thing out into the open. And I remember being utterly exhausted (but oh so relieved) when I'd got the DMP set up and everything sorted.Dithering_Dad wrote: »I'm with everyone else here - appalled at the comment the provident bloke made. I really would complain if I were you, it may be the case that he's already had some and will get the chop. What a scumbag.
Same here. Hope the creep gets slung out on his ar*e :mad:Dithering_Dad wrote: »Remember, that all you do is owe a bit of money, you're not a murderer, old folk batterer, rapist, child molester, etc. so chin up and toughen up. Next time anyone demeans you like that, give em a mouthful and let them know you're better than they are.
Ha! I used a similar argument with Halifax when they kept harassing me with phone calls. I asked the call centre monkey if I was a criminal for over-stretching myself with a credit card?
The chap rather thought I was, so I let him have it :rotfl:

It was a week ago now that I told my husband and everything (touch wood) is back to normal again. My only concern is if the provvy man turns up on monday, but after all the support from you guys and my amazing husband, I know I (we) can deal with him. I'm still getting phone calls from Capital One though, I have called and explained about my DMP and they said they put a note on my account, yet they still call and say can you pay £119.59 now by card? Er, no actually, that was the point of my having a DMP! Doh!
ps.. off topic here but is a beautiful sunny day and the mother in law from hell (who has become my best mate and guardian angel) has bought me a bottle of wine, so as soon as the man of my dreams returns, I'm off into the garden
My life has changed for the better in the last week, and in turn I am becoming happier and confident again.life should be about wanting what you have, not having what you want...0 -
I have apologised to him for calling him a 'mummys boy'.
I have also apologised to his mother for calling her an old bag. I only apologised mentally though, as I only insulted her mentally. She's a very scary lady!life should be about wanting what you have, not having what you want...0 -
Hi Mrs Lady, it's so great to hear that things have worked out well for you - in fact you just made me cry a little bit (but in a good way). Here's to things continuing that way!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

You are doing great Mrs Lady, so glad hubby is onboard & even "the old bag" is being nice:rotfl:
I'm sure even with having to pay into your DMP, you will be so much happier because you're not having to hide anything anymore.
I'm not surprised that you are tired, with all the stress, I was bad enough just going to see a financial advisor:rolleyes:
Good Luck, will continue to check on your progress
Enjoy the wine too:beer:Comping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner
