I can't actually wait to go to tesco in my lunch hour tomorrow... how funny r u lot...

Silly question here, but thought I'd ask... if say a pack of bacon says 66p pack and 65p shelf, and they charge 65p... I take it ur out as they haven't 'overcharged'???

HA and if I get the same CS person numerous times, that's just gonna make it all the more enjoyable...

That's right, basically if there is more than one price displayed for a product the lower price must be charged by law.

Hi all, not a wrong price but still a real steal.
Tesco total whitening toothpaste 100ml at 15p, also smokers toothpaste at 17p. Also on the birds eye beef front.
Also got 15 packets tonight but my fault when gotthrough checkout and looked at my receipt 7 were the £1.25 ones. Went to CS and asked if I could return 6 of the larger ones, she was very nice and took them back offered my club card to take the extra 300 points off, but she said it didnt matter I could keep the points. What a star.

Flushed with recent freebies from Tesco, I had furter success today. We went to the opening night at Coventry City's new Arena, and combined it with a visit to the biggest Tesco in Europe, nextdoor. Organic pork steaks, shelf £10.99/kg, pack £11.99/kg. Tesco Red Leicester, shelf £3.89/kg, pack £3.96/kg. Good job I had the foresight to put the coolbox in the boot, eh?

Tried today with the various '3 for £3 packs' of cheeses
In Northampton cheese marked £1.24 on packet but £1.19 on shelf, however scanned at £1.19 so watch out for this! Couldn't find anything else!!!!!

Can someone explain in SIMPLE terms what you are looking for with regards to prices and what C/s have to do?

    Is it…………
If an item is advertised at £3.98 but you get charged £4.00. Do you get a refund of £3.98 and get to keep the item for free as well?

    Going in my lunch hour............

yes, you are right except that you get a refund of what you were charged - in the example that would be £4.00. You get to keep the item too :)

all tescos should give you the refund as this is their advertised policy, some will try to give you the difference (or nick the tickets), but as long as you are firm and polite you should not have too many problems

Finally got round to trying this last night, and spotted the Harris 4 x 200g Smoked Bacon labelled on the shelf at £3.78, but on the packet it said £4.42, scanned it on the self-scanner things and it came up as £4.42 so bought two of them and got the refund on them no problem. So thanks for the info!

Just wondering, exactly how far can you push this...? If you buy say a dozen packs of the bacon, would they still refund you and let you keep them? Or what if you're shopping was ONLY made of refundables - a couple packs of bacon, a gammon joint, the chicken breasts etc - so it was obvious you were deliberately trying to get free stuff. Would they still let you have the refund and keep it? I don't plan to exactly rape them on this, but I was tempted to chuck in one of the gammon joints last night as well.
