What sort of evidence should I collect for TS?
Photographs of point of sale and packet so that the both can be compared, if you have someone with you then you can record the conversation and they can verify its accuracy at a later date, inform the customer service department manager you intend to report to trading or advertising standards agencies and you require cctv footage to be secured as you intend to reqeust copies if poossible get him or her to confirm in writing that you have made this request (highly unlikely that this request would be granted), make a point of telling them you or someone on your behalf will be returning to the store and taking record of this and other misprices (don't let them know of any others let the smarmy bas*ards look for them themselves) and reporting any further instances, alert them to the fact that you will also be raising the issue of their refusal to honour a nationally advertised policy which has resulted possibly in you changing your shopping habits, ie switching from Asda to Tesco, make it clear you will be pursuing the matter with both outside authorities and their head office and that you will NOT be put off by stonewalling and procrastination on their part and are aware that they have to legally comply with your request to sequest the cctv data. That will do for a start!Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -

What about those customers out there not as savvy as us mser's and getting looted of their hard earned cash daily? and don't forget it's because of these very practices that this policy was introduced as a part of a "Look at us we are doing something about it" campaign but this thread clearly demonstrates they are not. This is not a new phenomena in the supermarket industry it is a plague throughout the industry it is only highlighted at Tesco because of our ability as a consumer to hit back! And if you want evidence of that it will be shortly arriving in the Asda £2 threadFour guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
Stumbled on this one, priced at 67p/100g, went through at £7.40/kg. It took them longer to work out how many grams in a KG!!! Then they refunded me £4.03! Ask for some to be weighed and just see what price it comes up at, if it says 67p on the counter, you can bet it will be wrong on the weighing ticket. - Good luck!0

In the Wigan store the policy is Clearly stated on a big board behind CS, so I simply reffered them to this, also I didnt hide the fact that I wanted a full refund and keep the product, in fact I also made it clear I was looking for wrongly priced items!
I said to the CS, i am simply following their own policy, it was quite nice to see people waiting in the queue behind me agreeing with me, I thought at first they would be against me as a monaing penny pincher, but I got a "good for you feeling" from them!
And As I said on my last post, I told the CS person (Heather) that I would see her tomorrow!"0 -
Excuse my spelling, its late and had a few brandies down me!0

As customer service refund virgins we shopped for the Cheese and Bacon today, got two bacon joints a pack of mild chedder ( organic ) along with our regular shopping. got to the check out paid using our £6 off voucher which came with our club card points last issue.
After we had paid for our shopping and with a little fear we went to the CS Desk. Told them about the cheese and the Bacon Joints. the young lady at the checkout didnt even bother to go to look just refunded the money gave us the goods and that was it.
In total to day we saved £22 and we get to eat the posh food with the pretty printed pictures on it. Not the cheap stuff with the red and white lable Cool.0 -
A new find maybe - if it has already been post I am sorry in advanced.

Make sure that the shelf tickets has 420gram to 550 grams if I remember correctly (doesn't help if one goes to the pub and is stuffering of lack of sleep)
Picked up 2 packs £3.80 + £3.75 - approx 8 steaks in each. No Issues at the CS desk 11 o'clock at night- full amount refunded :money:
Now 23:20 and cooking 1 pack off now for the car booty lunch tomorrow to raise more ££ to clear the debt -thanks Tesco's!

I have often found this when getting refunds, eyes pop out, ears !!!!!! up and frequently I am stopped by people behind me asking how I managed to find my freebie? are there any more left? is there anything else this will work on? how did you find out about it? my answer to each of these questions is always the same!
