I bought this for hubby. The sticker says £3.73 but it went through at £3.21. That was at Tesco Rochdale. So no refund for me but hey, it was cheaper than advertisedWorking Full Time but just about make ends meet.

Rebecca and Ruby: What I find distasteful if that Tesco, and probably all the other supermarkets, have been ripping us off for years. I never used to check my supermarket receipts until now. Considering the hundreds (and probably thousands) of pounds that have been in effect 'stolen' from shoppers, I do not think that anyone taking advantage of their policies is acting 'distastefully'. They obviously know that they are overcharging customers so really this is just getting back a small amount of the money they have illegally taken off us.
I was horrified when I realised that I had been overcharged regularly, probably for the last 30 years. I had always trusted the supermarkets but since joining this site have had my eyes opened.
Thankyou everyone for their helpful posts.0 -

I'm not criticising you or the millions like you, but I think you should live and let live. Personally I don't go around looking for mispriced items, but I always check my bill thoroughly and anything they've overcharged me for, I want free. It was their choice to introduce this high-profile policy. I'm not going to sit in judgment on people that are willing to invest the time and effort to take revenge on Tesco, thoughThanks to all who post constructively.

WELL SAID BREYNIA, isn't this forum all about money saving and not being ripped off by big companies? I find it disgraceful when tesco's get away with overcharging people all the time. I have used this policy and can't see anything wrong with it. What I do view as wrong is that even when I have pointed out the mistake to tesco staff week after week items are still mispriced
I have got 2 cornfed chickens and a joint of unsmoked gammon today which is the 2nd time in 2 weeks I have done this at the same store. Wouldn't you say that Tesco's were being distasteful by not addressing their mistakes and continuing to overcharge for these items, NOT members of this forum who are at the end of the day only informing the stores of these mispricing occurences (in effect doing their job for them!!!).
Incidently this was at the Aylesbury store and I didn't go looking for them I simply buy those items as part of my weekly shop
Gammon shelf price 7.98 scanning at 8.48
Chicken shelf price 2.49 per kilo, marked at 2.99 per kilo0 -

buying something you don't need purely to get the misprice refund and then boasting about putting it on ebay shows a whole new level of avarice IMO. As the poster I commented to regarding a Tommie Tippee item was doing.
That is what I find distasteful, and I still think it is. :mad:0 -
I don't know if you are joking or not (I could just be being a bit dim) but she was happy because she was overcharged and so would have got the two toys free.0

If you are referring to the comment I made then you have misunderstood.
This is the situation that I was talking about:Colin2511 wrote:Tommee Tippee Crystal Clear SureSound Ultimate (baby monitor), priced £79.99, scans £99.99......well you can't not take it can you. Bit of grief from cs as they tried to give me the difference, and they said I should have read the promotional end date...but they caved in when I said no I'll have my money and the product pleaseColin2511 wrote:I have just finished photo it and will have it on ebay soon....0
