Khaki trousers now going through the till as marked price (£15.00) :( - They had my size back in stock today.

4way power lead (w/ surge protect) - boxes had (wrong) price sticker covered.

Made a note of all prices on today's shop and everything was correct - except that beef, which is now down 1p to 65p. BTW - 25% off DIY at the moment (only bought a paint tester pot but it was reduced at checkout).

Oohh this is getting addictive. Went into my local Tesco again today to see what I could find. Checked the CS desk to see if the same women were on from the other day and they weren't !.
I bought 2 of the FREE range chickens pkt £3.70Kg, shelf £3.17kg along with a couple of other items. Total £28.04 less my coupons £20.77 (this is the same store who last week said only 1 coupon per person allowed) and then off to CS for a refund. The staff on the desk had changed and the same lady who served me last week was back on! Any way plucked up my courage and said I'd been overcharged again. She went to check and said it was the corn fed chicken that was £3.17. Didn't like to say these were wrongly priced as wel (which they were but I didn't have enough courage to get these as well). Anyway after pointing out the correct label I got my refund of £14 .04, which brought my bill to £6.73. Thank you Tesco
I don't know why I feel so guilty though it is Tesco who are overcharging, I shudder to think how much I have been overcharged in the past before I found this site.

  • Hi

Just back from Tesco in Banbury, the organic Double Gloucester was marked at £7.09 on the shelf and £6.99 on the packet so picked up some and no problem with CS, one for the ethical eater!

Just returned from Tesco, and it looks as though the label police have been out in force!!

All the old shelf labels are missing, so it has taken them a while, but at least someone has got their finger out.

It felt like someone was watching me looking up and down the aisles, as if to say, nah nah nah nah nah.

Still, plenty of other T's in my area, so all may not be lost.
  • Thanks for the heads-up on the chickens...my first success. Got four fat ones free & refunded. Freezer filling fast!

Just a quick thought, I noticed that many of the birds in store were poor quality, worse than usual. One sure sign of a bird raised in poor conditions is to look at its knees...sometimes they have a kind of burn mark, it's apparently caused by the chicken kneeling/stooping in its own urine, which causes an acid burn. This may be the reason they dropped the price by 50p.

What do you do if your chicken has these marks on its leg? You could take it back and ask for a refund or replacement. Personally, I'd wait a day or so, and I wouldn't try it if they've already written 'REFUNDED' all over your receipt!

Another tip...always check that weighed items are entered in the till correctly. Many cashiers don't know the difference between mini aubergines at £2.79 kg and normal aubergines at £2.99 a kilo. This is always good for a refund.

Conversely, the cashiers can't tell the difference between Beef Tomatoes at 49p each (they have a small sticker on) and cheapy normal loose tomatoes wich are sold by weight. I saved 74p on this today.
They're even less likely to see the PLU stickers if you double-bag tham. Don't you find those bags real flimsy?

    Good hunting!!

:A Hi full leg of lamb priced 5.49 per kilo on shelf and 5.89 on ticket. looks like they have reduced them again on shelf edge but not poduct. Also harris smoked bacon 3.75 on shelf edge 4.42 on packet.
  • does anyone actually have tescos advert/policy for refunds printed out either from their website or leaflet scanned etc. it would be good to post and everyone could print out to remember the store manager of their employers policy hee hee

I dont have a copy of the policy but I have yet to see a store which does not have either the massive sign or small ones attached to the front of the CS desk. The small one is about postcard size.

In the unlikely event we charge you a higher price than on the shelf or the package we will refund your money and you can keep the product.
