• Update from Magners - have now received 3 x £10 debits to my account, so hopeful of getting the other £60 back. Also remembered a company called Vistaprint who worked a similar scam a few years back, they may still be at it - so beware!
• I ordered flowers from interflora, got a £15 rebate, have now been charged £10, have cancelled on the phone number listed and figure out that I am £5 ahead with some time and trouble to get it cancelled once I realised that we were being charged.

It is still a sneaky, stealthy and unwelcome addition to online shopping but I am glad I check all expenditure so I spotted this debit before it went any further.

Live and learn.
• Another victim!

Like everyone else, I just checked my bank account (online) and there's a charge hitting my account tomorrow. I think it's tied into a purchase I made from Laptops Direct (Buy It Direct) on 9 October. Have bought from this supplier with no problems many times in the past, including as recently as August.

Will be onto Laptops Direct and Shoppers Discount tomorrow (Monday 9th) and will let you know the outcome.
• I have notice a £10 payment taken out today by shopperdiscount.c. The only thing I can think of where I was offered a £15 money off next purchase was after a bought tickets from ticketmaster exactly a month ago! I will try to find out exactly how I got signed up.

I guess I have some sorting out to do now to get my money refunded and subscription cancelled!

Considering you are regularly reading this thread, it has not gone unnoticed just how "quiet" you are on the subject.

Do you care to reply to each of the posts posted "since" your last post, or has the cat got your tongue?????

• I have just found out in the last half hour that I too have fallen victim to this bunch of thieving bar stewards! was just checking my bank online and have noticed the £10 taken by them on tuesday! I know exactly how this has happened as I remember being offered 'free cashback' after buying tickets on ticketmaster, but I swear blind I did not give them any of my card details as its not something I would do willy nilly, I thought that ticketmaster was a 'trusted' site, pah!
I am to say the least Savage  and have just cancelled over the automated service on the telephone and have requested a refund (press the key for "if you have any questions" after listening to your cancellation details twice) but am absoloutley livid and shall be writing a stinking letter to ticketmaster tomorrow.
I found this early on and havent had months worth of payments taken so I am lucky, but, I'm a bit worried now as I sent flowers through interflora last week and I now see on this forum that they are also a culprit, so we shall see....
• I have also just discovered a £10 charge to my credit card for Shopper Discount for the past three months, thought it was more shoes or handbags ordered by my wife!! However I phoned them to be told it was authorised through a company called 'Regnow' who I have no knowledge of, but they have cancelled my so called membership and say they will refund my charges. I watch my card account with interest. I am a little baffled by this as I thought to set up a standing charge required a signature and I did not provide one!!

Cheers David
• Likewise scammed checking out on Savastore, just noticed the charges from 3 months back and no I have never received any cashback despite applying for it. I noted on the web there was a class action against them in the US which they settled, perhaps some legal firm here might want to take it up in the UK as well. Can't believe that companies that I thought were reputable signed up for this, Savastore, Ryanair, Interflora you've lost me and I hope thousands of others through trying to con us on this, there is NO way your legal teams wouldn't have told you what you were doing here or been unaware of the class action in the USA

Hello Marleyboy:

I’m responding to you directly because the www.moneysavingexpert.com forum administrator made me aware recently that companies are not allowed to post multiple times on the forum. It's also difficult to address everyone's questions or concerns in a public forum when I don't have the specifics of each person's membership.

I'd be happy to provide you with the specifics of your former membership as this may help to address any particular questions or concerns you have. In order to do this, I would need your first and last name and postal code so that I can review your former membership. If you choose to do so, please send this information directly to me at mary@shopperdiscountsandrewards.com.

Regards,

As far as I am aware Mary, MSE have given you permission to continue to post on this forum, please feel free to openly discuss this on the forum, rather than privately.

I would much rather each affected member on here the chance of a reply by you addressing such posts, particularly regarding their bank details.

As it seems someone is being; lets say "economical" with the truth when it comes to subscribing to SD&R.

Once again you have full permission to post on this thread, so I feel a 1 to 1 session is not needed between eachother, rather a full and open explanation on a public forum.

;)

• I had a bank statement which had £10 taken out by Shopperdiscounts.co.uk and it said (Recurring Visa Transaction). There was a phone number fortunately on the statement (0808 234 1539). I phoned and it was because I had completed a rewards box on Ebookers site. Ebookers had passed my details on to this company. Obviously I was not aware of what would happen and did not know that £10 would be taken every month out of my bank account. The company are cancelling my payments and refunding my £10 with no argument or problem. Hope anyone out there can get there monies refunded.
