    Hi psychopathbabble

I can assure you that the £10 off your next flight WAS there in the recent past as I saw it when I booked &, each time I logged in to see our flight info, it was put up AGAIN !

However, it is now not showing when I log in :T & it is not there when I go through the booking process up till I need to pay (but it was showing after booking previously not before) so I don't know if Easyjet have taken it off because of bad publicity.

I must say that we have always been happy with using Easyjet. Staff are great & seats have more room than any charter flights we've been on. We were told once of a delay out of Bristol because someone had called in ill so Easyjet had to wait for a flight to bring another member of staff in &, within half an hour, they'd handed out £3 vouchers for us to put towards the purchase of a drink & snack. We thought THAT was first class.

We have rarely been late taking off & usually the pilot has made the time up. We use the Bristol to Murcia flights & often arrive in Murcia early.
  • Even I am impressed you got vouchers that quickly! As crew, the majority (I'm not saying there aren't bad crew out there) do what they can to help... as I said, we are restricted by the rules easyJet have and sometimes the problems are caused by ground staff or the airport, which isn't actually easyJet, it's the ground handling agent ie Swissport. It's good to hear someone is still happy with us!

I guess Easyjet knew ages before they let on about the crew member & also knew they would be having a two hour delay or so, so they thought they may as well hand the vouchers out without delay, keeps us punters as sweet as possible under the circumstances.

With regards to the 'freebie' on their booking system, I have never had that come up when I have booked flights, through both staff travel and the normal system so maybe it's a dodgy link.

No it was NOT a dodgy link, it was a link set up by Easyjet.

I too have noticed that they now have removed it,

but not before the deluge of complaints
  • I have just noticed today an £8 debit from my bank account going back to April 08 and after speaking to the bank it has become apparent that this happened after I also booked flights with easyjet. Needless to say I did not sign up for any 'membership' and have today cancelled my 'subscription' on the premium rate telephone number that surprise surprise does not allow you to speak to anyone in person. I have sent an e-mail to the customer service department demanding a refund and would be interested to know if anyone has actually had the money refunded or taken the matter up with easyjet??icon8.gif

  • jeanssis, that is the number I rang but thought it was premium rate with being 0808 prefix. However I could not get to speak to an operator in person...hence the e-mail to their customer services department. Having now read through several other posts it is obvious this operation needs shutting down and fast!!
  • UPDATE....Have received prompt response to my e-mail stating that my 'membership' has been canceeled and that I will receive refund within 10 days. So I will just have to wait and see. Thanks to everyone who has put posts on regarding this.icon7.gif
  • Well I hope you get your money back. I too had that email but I am still waiting for mine. And please excuse me if I don't join in with the easyjet appreciation society. Lets not forget what this thread is about. Shopper discounts are taking money from people's bank accounts. None of us gave them our bank details. We gave our bank details to easyjet (or interflora, or nat ex)who then passed them to this bunch of scammers knowing full well would be charged for a service that does not exist. Shopper discounts are making millions out of people not checking their bank statements, making interest on money they had no right to take, and they get to keep, I would imagin, about 80% of the money they steal as alot of the people scammed are not as forthright as us lot and won't demand it back. The fact they agree so readily to return your money proves that they had no right to it in the first place. And they know once the money is returned people will shut up about it and they can carry on with their hideous little business. The real villians in all this are easyjet. I mean if any one of us came across shopper discounts on the net offering us their wonderful services (still havent figured out what they are!) and told us to enter our bank account details or card number we would not have touched it with a ten foot bargepole. We were set up by the companies we trusted enough to hand our card numbers over to. We know it, they know it and soon everyone will know it as I expect to see it on Watchdog very soon.
  • Hi all
Thanks for the info on this thread. May have just saved £££ and hassle.

When you complete expedia booking you get an option on the last page and what looks like your final step (though it isn't - a continue button) which says "Click here to claim your £10 cash incentive on your next Expedia reservation". "By clicking above you can claim your reward from our preferred partner. T&C's apply".

Sounded too much like others' experiences so avoided though maybe it's all fine. Didn't fancy the risk for a tenner!
