TBH 10% isnt that much in the grand scheme of things - and Im talking about a healthy diet that suits your dog here. Im sorry but I make cutbacks everywhere else before I mess with what I feed my dog. And I wouldn't feed my worse enemy 16 pence sausages, certainly not my dog
I feed Arden Grange as its a top quality food that has suited all my dogs and yes its pricey but price per meal works out around 50p daily and my lad is worth that much at least0 -
I would suggest Proplan dog food, if you look at the Ingredients the first and therefore main item is either Meat (Chicken or Lamb) or Fish (Salmon), and its good meat and fish, not this Dried stuff or meal. The great thing I've found is I don't need to feed the dogs much, and there's not a massive amount out the back end either, and they look great.
Heres there website. http://www.purina-proplan.com/uk/
You can buy it from good Pet shops or Pet food Suppliers, and it's not too expensive either. If fact my local has 3kg at £9.99 and 18kg for the price of 15kg.0 -
We feed our dog on Kirkland dry food, with of course the added fruit, veg, cheese and sometimes gravy.
He is a helthy dog and there are no scary ingredients listed. A 15K bag for about £18, then we can spend more on treats. He is a spoilt dog, but well worth it.0 -
ProPlan isn't cheaper than Burns, going by the PetPlanet website. Feeding guides look to be pretty similar, but favouring Burns, so a 15kg ProPlan bag won't last quite as long. Of course, the £18kg bag would be great value, but you don't want to choose a food based on a limited-time offer.
Funnily enough, looking at that I noticed that PetPlanet has reduced it's Burns to £36 inc delivery. That's cheaper than Nutrecare.0 -
what age can you start introdcing fruit/veg etc to a puppy. What do you cook and what can they have raw? What other treats apart from cheese and shop bougt ones would be good for training. Is on Burns mini bites at moment but sure in a few weeks may like a little variation sometimes.Jan Grocery challenge

This is my first posting, so pl forgive me if it is in the wrong place on the Site or something. I just wanted to say that I went to Pets at Home this week, and they are giving away free samples of dry cat & dog food, on a "one per household" basis. I didnt see any signs to indicate how long this offer will last. Hope this info is useful to someone0

the one by me offers this all the time and has done for years. there is a bin in the aisle (eg next to the cat food for cats) with a few brands in a jumble and you can just take the one you want.0

Hope you don't mind me adding this to your thread (and I hope the link works) but this SHOULD be a voucher for money off cat food . . .
