Ripped off in local Restaurant

Its not just about good food though is it, heck if I want GOOD food, I can cook it at home. The reason we choose to go for a meal, is to make a good night of it, that is just as much down to the "service" we pay for in our nights out.missnooboo wrote: »I was reading all your comments about the tapas restraunt in west wickham/shirely, my boyfriends mate actually owns it and weve been there several times and its great food, great service (although can get a bit busy) but the manager, still came and spoke to us.
i understand your feelings of resentment about being overcharged, but taking it to the local paper, or further i think is a bit over the top, as you said the food Was in fact good. and all the reviews i have read about it except yours have been good too.
so i think you should lighten up a bit, because not everyone is perfect and as it goes, this place is as close as youl get to it
Theres a Bar near where I live, that serve a fantastic ice cold pint of Stella, but as they have a nasty habit over "short changing" and "overcharging", I am sure the next bar serves just as nice a pint.
The same applies to a restaraunt, what good is the "fantastic food" if the service is diabolical.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

dont be laughing at me!! i know i am being biased there is nout wrong with that, only because i DO UNDERSTAND where your coming from, and i dont think its ok for a restraunt to overcharge you - i just dont think it is fair to take it so far, i wasnt there i dont know what happened, so if your so upset about it and want sympathy from these lot then BE MORE PRECISE on what ACTUALLY happened!!!!!
p.s. :T hehe0 -

Okay, even giving the restuarant the benefit of the doubt, and the overcharging was a mistake there is still the issue of the manager manhandling some of the women in the party and being agrresive.
It would certainly ruin my evening if I was treated in that manner, and I certainly would be encouraging people to give the place a wide berth.
Maybe if your boyfriends mate wants to make his buisness a sucess he should try treating customers with respect!0 -
Not laughing at all, but each time you reply, this thread is bumped to the top and gains a new audience. As I see it, the original post was quite precise about what happened: Some people went out to the tapas restaurant in west wickham and were overcharged [mistakes happen] but had a whole load of aggro [mistakes are usually put right immediately] including some guests being manhandled, which left them having paid the correct price for a pleasant evening, but going home having had a horrible experience.missnooboo wrote: »dont be laughing at me!! i know i am being biased there is nout wrong with that, only because i DO UNDERSTAND where your coming from, and i dont think its ok for a restraunt to overcharge you - i just dont think it is fair to take it so far, i wasnt there i dont know what happened, so if your so upset about it and want sympathy from these lot then BE MORE PRECISE on what ACTUALLY happened!!!!!
p.s. :T heheAfter the uprising of the 17th June The Secretary of the Writers Union
Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee Stating that the people
Had forfeited the confidence of the government And could win it back only
By redoubled efforts. Would it not be easier In that case for the government
To dissolve the people
And elect another?0 -

Look, they were overcharged in 3 areas - either there is a major incompetence or something is dodgy. Genuine mistakes should be rectified instantly and with humility - the fact that the manager was so hostile has to make you wonder.
So, under the circumstance the party have every right (and should) warn others.
What are you laughing at then - do tell...0 -

Sure thing, I will cook you a splendid meal, so long as you have no objections to me overcharging you for the honour, and maybe "copping a feel", just a quickie. Im sure BF wont mind, but who cares what he thinks, hes not invited!!!!!missnooboo wrote: »you a good cook?
